Breakfast at Las Marias
Every morning From May 30th to June 1st, my cousin and I would have the buffet breakfast here. All the staff are just amazing, Alejandro was our most consistent/frequent server and he is just amazing!

Beautiful resort with a confusing all-inclusive plan for newcomers
The resort is beautiful. No real beach access, but still beautiful. It is spread out on a hillside so lots of walking, but staff is quick to offer rides on golf carts to guests. While the resort is beautiful, nothing is superb or extraordinary, hence the average score. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite with a garden patio (Rm 1360 of the El Encanto building). This particular room felt a bit neglected. We found old supplement pills in the toothbrush holder, the soap dispenser for the bathroom sink was open and empty, the bed sheets had rust ( i hope it was rust anyway...) stains, and bugs were smeared on the ceiling and walls. There is also a thin layer of dust on the patio floor that leaves feet feeling disgusting, and a significant gap in the door. All things we decided to ignore and move past and just enjoy our stay. All of the hotel staff (check-in, bellmen, restaurant, bar, etc.) were wonderful. A few to point out were Ramon at Barolo who made our anniversary extra special, Jose at the pool bar near the Encanto building, and Alejandro at Los Riscos. The provided shuttle that takes guests to the sister property at the Cabo San Lucas marina was very convenient and we took advantage of it multiple times. We booked the regular all inclusive package for the first 2 days and then upgraded to the premium package for our last 2 days (we really wanted the Lobster and Tamahawk!). We were very confused on the first day about what was included in the regular vs premium all inclusive because it was not explained clearly to us and all of the menus list prices. Luckily trusting the staff worked out and we did not incur any additional unforeseen charges. Our only real issue came from the "timeshare" presentation. It was advertised as a "welcome breakfast" by Marcella, which would lead to discounted activities and a $200 resort credit. Sounded pretty good at the time. Not until the next morning did we realize what we had gotten ourselves into. Our 90 minute presentation turned into a 150 minute presentation, and while we enjoyed seeing the property (the Residences are a dream), we also knew we were not in the market to make any sort of purchase. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour by Lorena (aka Marta Lorena) and really connected with her, but in the end we had to turn down multiple offers to become owners. Once our tour was finished and we were escorted back to the hotel lobby we were again approach by 2 more agents trying to sell us on something. Our normal easy going demeanor now quickly changed to being irritated and annoyed. Finally we were escorted to the activities center to pick up our $200 resort credit certificate and book activities. We chose to book a sunset sailing to the arch with PezGato. The brochures all over the hotel listed the time as 5pm-7pm, which was perfect because we had reservations for dinner (saved the lobster and tomahawk for our final dinner) at 8pm. After we paid for the activity, the booking agent (Alma) wrote down that we are to meet at the PezGato office at 5:30pm. This seemed odd considering the advertised time was 5pm-7pm. I figured it was mistake, but didn't speak up. Big mistake. We showed up at the PezGato office at 4:30pm for our 5pm sailing and were told the trip is actually 6pm-8pm. This clearly wouldn't work with our lobster and tomahawk timeline and we asked for a refund, which PezGato was unwilling to give because it was the hotel who had advertised the wrong time. Understandable. Once we returned to the hotel we immediately tried to speak with someone about this, but of course all responsible parties had already gone home for the day and we were told to speak to someone the next morning at 8am. Which we did, and in the end we did not receive our money back because it was "our problem," as Gustavo (self proclaimed manager of something related to the "timeshare" department) so kindly pointed out. So after spending multiple thousands of dollars at the hotel, not willing to refund us $70 leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Oh, and the lobster was mediocre. We didn't end up getting the tomahawk because it was a 2 person minimum and only one us wanted it, but the filet that came with the lobster was great.

Super beautiful lResort.. Amazingly friendly people and staff. Eder at the front desk was fantastic to deal with. The food at each restaurant was unique and flavorful. The views are really special here. This may be our most favorite stay in Los Cabos yet.
