This is our second visit to Hacienda Encantada. The first was wonderful and this was pretty good. We had some problems - not receiving the room that we had booked and loungers with umbrellas were in shorter supply (January vs April). Water under the bridge. We came for great food, heat, beautiful setting, relaxation and feeling pampered, which was definitely experienced. We saw whales most days! We spent most days around El Patio Restaurant and Bar, on the tiny stretch of beach high above the treacherous water below. Staff there were efficient and kind, Enrique, smart, hard-working Juan, and Edson with possibly the best English skills. He is funny and polite. We enjoyed coconut prawns and fish tacos. Special thanks to Ricardo at El Forno for pizza. The only regular buffet is for breakfast. We ate breakfast at Mestizo buffet, but preferred Las Marias. The selection was greater and omelets were prepared on a flat griddle. Las Marias staff were teamed, professional and attentive. I was impressed with Conception and Alejandro, who coaxed me to try Mexican coffee. The hostess, Marianna, smiles warmly to greet and escort. Our favourite dinner restaurant is the Itialian style Barolo. Most restaurants had a live musical performer. Nice and not intrusive. We tried to eat at every restaurant available. They were all good, and Manuel the concierge was able to make reservations. We just turned up. One of the best features is the ready availability of golf carts to move guests. Most pickup stops have a hallway phone but they are also constantly arriving. Sometimes it is a salesperson for private timeshare, but the next shuttle is not long away. Evening entertainment is not much, except for the weekly fire show and amazing buffet at El Eden. It needs a special booking, Thursdays only. We also read a Trip Advisor tip to go to El Eden for a nightcap, thanks! Guests can book the free shuttle to Marina Fiesta right on the water with several included restaurants plus closer access to clubs in Cabo. However the last shuttle does head back at 10:30 pm, so a one-way taxi would be needed for night owls. We booked the shuttle and ate at the Lobster Bar right on the water. It was amazing again, thanks to Gonzalo, Jesus and Karla. Looking back, we will return for sure.
Concierge Moises of Hacienda Encantada
Moises is friendly and very informative. He will assist you with all your activities as well as locating a lounge chair to spend the day relaxing. He greets all with a smile and hello each day. He makes himself available all day long so look to him for your assistance. Thanks Moises.
Hacienda Encantada Resort - Cabo San Lucas
Beautiful resort. Spread out over a lot of area which is very hilly. Could prove challenging for people with walking issues. However they have golf carts to drive you around the entire resort and they are readily available. Food was amazing. Breakfast buffet , Teauilla Bar, Pizzeria which doubles as restaurant at night. Three different pool areas and a kiddies pool area too. Found the flooring quite slippery so be careful with wet feet. Rooms were big and very clean. Poolside entertainment and activities at the one pool we spent our time at. Entertainment Director was fun and engaging with a beautiful voice. Mini golf course in centre of resort which we did not use. Store on site. Took a cab into Sam Lucas to do some sight seeing and shopping. Not too far away. Enjoyed this resort very much. Cabo overall is a beautiful area with an almost Mediterranean feel to it. I would recommend this resort but mostly to adults.
Best place to visit in Mexico. Our Home away from Home 💛
We have been coming several years. Today is my birthday and the housekeeping supervisor surprised me with a birthday cake! Lilia was so sweet and lovely. She even sang Happy Birthday in English & Spanish! We had a few small problems that could have become major but before she left she made arrangements to have them fixed and all but one was taken care of before she left. She scheduled spraying for ants when we are out of the room! Beautiful resort with the best people ever and I willbe mentioning others later. ❤️ Haceinda Encantada Resort & Spa 💛💛💛
I want to shout out all these staff members..I’m sure it’s more but I’m sorry I didn’t get the names: Alberto, Angel, Angelo- At the Front Desk, Luis-At the Front Desk, Raul, Roberto, Carlos, At the Baja Lobster Company The Oyster Bar Gonzalo,David,Samuel,Monica. At the beautiful Los Rico’s- Oscar, Jorge,Roberto, Marco the golf cart driver, At El Forno Carlos. All these staff members and more made our anniversary trip amazing. The only thing that we didn’t like is when we first arrived they try to get to do a timeshare. Words of advice after people have traveled all day to get to your beautiful resort trying to be forced into a timeshare is something they don’t want to hear. Travelers want to get settled and relax a little. We will be back to see y’all soon and nope we still don’t want to purchase a timeshare.
