    Charming and fun.

    We love the ambiance. Old Mexican charm is right. This place has more than enough staff and they are very competent. (Especially our waiter Alfredo.) This place makes you feel almost like family. You should give it a try. We highly recommend it.

    Slice of paradise at an affordable price

    Me, my wife and another couple we know went to the hacienda Buenaventura and I have to say it was incredible, and please don’t listen to the other people who nitpick every little detail, the food was amazing and great variety with themed dinners, the pool was not too busy and very clean, the hotel and rooms are very charmingly dated but built with character and clean, the beach was great and a quick walk from the hotel, but more than anything else the service was remarkable with friendly greetings and generous alcohol servings (rafael, Robertoto, and Eric to be specific were awesome), half of them knew my name by the time I left. And the highlight of my trip was visiting the “secret” hidden restaurant at the resort, we had Alfredo as our server and he couldn’t have been better and the food was Michelin star worthy and still included with the all inclusive package. See you again next year.

    For the price not worth it

    It is old Mexican Charm for sure. The hotel need a lot of attention. Location good. Service at front desk lacking. Food buffet is good, restaurant is poor at best, pool service is good. Have get up at 6:00am to get lounge chair, that was bad. People reserve and don’t show until late in afternoon. I did find manager very good. Service by staff in buffet area and pool area awesome. House cleaning staff did great job…

    Great Service, terrible food!

    OK, first off, the accomodation and THE SERVICE IS GREAT. but THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE!! We could not even find salsa or guacamole! When we asked, they said they did not have any. What? Aren't we in Mexico. I feel bad giving such a bad review but seriously, we could not believe what they were serving us and I'm not a terribly fussy eater. At breakfast, I asked the craby omelet lady if I could have some of her chopped tomatoes for my scrambled eggs and she used her hands, yes (ungloved), you heard me right. Stale bakery items, dry recycled chicken dishes, pasta with watery sauce. No cheese. No tortilla chips. We ended up leaving site often to pay for a meal elsewhere adding to the price of the holiday.

    Good

    The hotel has a beautiful structure, love the garden and swimming pool … but the rooms are soo old , specially the bathrooms and the sheets, blankets, pillows. The staff are so good ,friendly and always ready to do the best. I would like to give good credit to these employees: German, Jatziri , Nery and many others but I don’t remember their names
