    Once in A Lifetime Experience

Best massage of my life!! Many many thanks to Lisa, who was Excellent!... so accommodating... making the surprise gift experience (birthday present from the kids) one of the most relaxing, enjoyable and health promoting services I've received. Stunning location and atmosphere... feels like a movie set. Wish I could be a regular. Will make this experience a priority if ever back to Bermuda! Cheers to the folks at the Grotto Spa - Bermuda! Treated Like Family

We stayed at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort and Spe from March 20th until 27th and what an excellent experience it was. We arrived late (10pm) due to our flight being delayed in Canada, but we had no problems checking in. We stayed in room 152 which is located on the second floor in the Smith's building. Our room was perfect for our needs and had a view of the Ocean. We were central to the pool, beach, restaurants and Rum Bar. We did the all inclusive package and highly recommend it if you plan on having a few drinks during the day and evening (beers are $10 and mixed drinks are $15). Make sure to try a Rum Swizzle and a Dark 'n Stormy. The staff made us feel like family. We met David the night manager on our first night and he made us feel at home. I don't think there is a person on the Island who can compete with David's Bermuda shorts collection. Raymond the Restaurant Captain made all of our meals so enjoyable. He always greeted us with a smile and asked us how our stay was. Raymond had the answers to every question we had. The entire restaurant staff was incredible. I haven't seen this level of professionalism at any other resort I've been to. The food was excellent. The portion sizes were bigger than I expected. I'm not sure who decides the sandwich of the day, but they need a promotion. Make sure to try the Fish Chowder. Highly recommended. Don't miss the Sunday brunch or the International buffet. We spent the majority of our time on the beach. It was a little chilly while we were there but that didn't stop us from getting a tan. I went snorkelling a couple times and there is a shipwreck about 20-30 feet from shore. Unfortunately the beach bar and restaurant weren't open during our stay, but they looked amazing. We met Shane by the pool one day and he took us on a mini tour of the resort. I've been to a lot of resorts and met a lot of workers in my travels and I can tell Shane is going to be a very valuable member to the resort. It was an absolute pleasure to have met him. He also helped us get out luggage from our room to the lobby on our last day. We spent the majority of our nights at the Rum Bar. One night they had a DJ (Bubbles I think) that got the whole place dancing and singing. Another night they had a saxaphonist (Keeping it Saxy) who was awesome. The Rum Bar has two of the best bartenders I've ever met. A big thank you to Zhiyah "Z" and Darreana. They were so personable and I always walked away with a smile after talking to them. Make sure to check out the Cathedral Cave on property. Words and pictures don't do it any justice. You have to see it yourself. My wife got a massage in the cave at the Nature Spa. It's a once in a lifetime setting and she said it was so relaxing. We did a 4 hour guided tour of the Island with a driver named JB (Dreadlocks). Highly recommended. Go to the excursion counter in the lobby and request him. He will not disappoint you. We also did an afternoon at the Swizzle Inn. It's expensive but worth going to. It was a 5 minute walk from the resort. I want to thank all of the wonderful staff who helped make our trip so enjoyable. You really helped us create memories we will never forget.

Great all inclusive but some rooms have a musty smell.

The all inclusive package is nice with kids, but the rooms on the ground floor have a musty/moldy smell so we had to move rooms a couple of times. The bathroom lock was also broken in one of the rooms (so def inspect the rooms first)

Glorious Birthday Trip in March at Grotto Bay Resort

We recently stayed at Grotto Bay Beach Resort for my husband's 70th birthday. We did the 2-meal package and enjoyed 5 nights of good food and drink, mostly beautiful weather and excellent customer service. This is the only resort at which we'll stay while in Bermuda (I've been here 5 times now)! The private beach alone is worth the trip, but the on-site cave and lovely resort surroundings (not to mention the 3 friendly kitties that roam freely, along with a very lively rooster) make the trip worthwhile and quite memorable. You're 5 minutes from the airport and right on the main bus route to Hamilton and St. George. Well worth the trip!

    Lovely vacation

Returned home yesterday from a lovely 5 night stay. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very welcoming. The servers in the restaurant were attentive and we enjoyed the all inclusive option for 3 days. Sienna at the front desk and Zye at the concierge desk were both amazing and should be recognized for their exceptional service to guests as they both went the extra distance to ensure we had an enjoyable stay and it is evident that they both take pride in their jobs. We hope to return and highly recommend this resort due to the attentive customer service we received.

The restaurant will offer a new menu and more seating, yet still serve up the delicious food and friendly service that we are known for, with even better views. The contemporary Island inspired design and Mediterranean-Bermudian themed menu will complement the dining experience further against the backdrop of azure ocean horizons from every angle.
