Beautiful with great service!
Grotto Bay is a beautiful resort with excellent service. The staff make this an exceptional vacation. Beach, Pool both good for families as well as couples. The water in the cave for swimming was rather cold but unique! The food was good and I was happy we took the all inclusive because the prices on food was not inexpensive! The front desk staff and the concierge were excellent. Nights are rather quiet other than some music. The grounds are lush & tropical but for anyone with mobility issues there are a lot of steps and hills.. Very near airport !

All inclusive bliss
I would stay here again. We did the all-inclusive package which I think is definitely worth it because the menu price of food at the hotel restaurants is steep. We had no problem with the room. We stayed in building 2 which was a prime location with exceptional views. The rooms are kind of like your standard Hilton or Marriott. Nothing unique. The bathroom is a bit small but we made it work. Air conditioning worked great. Bed was comfortable. The property is lovely but sadly no walking trails and Bermuda is not pedestrian friendly. The food was great. We enjoyed really everything we ate here. Lots of healthy options, which I appreciated. There’s a breakfast buffet with lots and lots of options, including an omelet station. One night we were there, they did a surf and turf dinner buffet, which was also great. Grilled steak, shrimp, and fish options outside by the grill. The alcohol in the drinks is sort of low-end, headache inducing stuff, so suggest ordering a drink you would regularly order at home vs. a fruity mixed drink off the menu. There are caves on the property which are neat. The pool was a pleasant temperature so we did some swimming. The ocean is cold, so didn’t swim there. The jacuzzi was broken while we were there but even if it was working, it is a small, plastic-looking tub that you might see at someone’s house, not a commercial, concrete jacuzzi. There are about 4 cats on the property and several chickens, which contributed to our amusement. All in all It was a great vacation. We also appreciated that there were no surprises with our bill when we checked out. It was the price agreed to in our confirmation email. The service we received was excellent. Thanks to all the wonderful folks at Grotto Bay for making our vacation wonderful, and we hope to see you again!

Wonderful Hotel - Convenient with Fabulous Service
We visited Grotto Bay to celebrate our 40th anniversary and had a lovely time. The hotel is incredibly convenient - near the airport and with its own beach - and the staff went out of its way to make our milestone celebration special. We've stayed at the resort before and will certainly return in the future.

The best resort we've ever visited!
I can't say enough good things about Grotto Bay Beach Resort! Our vacation was excellent from start to finish. The rooms all have beautiful views. The beds are comfortable. The food is wonderful. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel like a valued guest. Staff members are friendly and smiling. They all seem to enjoy their jobs. The brothers Matthew and Glady (in the restaurants) are lots of fun and they made us feel like family. The on-site snorkeling was great, with a wide variety of fish and easy access. The resort is clean and even with close proximity to the airport, we never heard the planes in our room. We took the all-inclusive package and it was well worth it. I would definitely return to this resort and cannot wait to be able to do so!

A wonderful and totally fully inclusive resort (With the supplement)
We chose this resort as our destination to celebrate out 10th Anniversary, it certainly did not disappoint. Firstly there is no shuttle from the airport, but a Taxi only cost $10.00. Check in was quick and we were helped to our room with the bags. The resort is in a stunning setting with magnificent views. Cathedral Cave is similar to Crystal Caves but on a smaller scale. This was breathtaking and the swim was stimulating. Ariels' Grotto is a very peaceful spot on the resort. One very noticeable aspect was that we saw no litter or rubbish anywhere on the resort. The restaurants. there were three restaurants which we ate at. The Hibiscus was used for breakfast and evening meals. Breakfast is a buffet style with made to order omelettes. Evening meal, all I can say is that the meals are superb both in taste and size. We never managed to finish an evening meal. The BBQ evening was out of this world, again you will not go hungry. The second restaurant is the Palm Court, we were disappointed with this restaurant, maybe they were having teething problems as we visited on their first night open of the year. Lunch time we used Bayside Grill. The food here was a very high standard, I only had one disappointment a Vietnamese Salad, this was not to my taste at all. I can not recommend this. The starters will fill most people. The restaurant can become noisy. When we were there a wedding party from the US arrived, for some reason they could not talk to each other but shouted so loudly that we could not hear each other talk. I did mention it to the server, who just agreed with me. The Grotto Bay Website mentions a dress code for the Palm Court and Hibiscus Room, however this is ignored by some guests, that does not matter as it is not enforced by the staff. Having been to Bermuda before, I was aware that you can not hire a car, this is no matter as the Buses are frequent and there is a stop outside the hotel. All inclusive guests have access to a free bus pass. The drivers are courteous and very helpful. There were plenty of sun loungers around the pool and on the beach. The rooms are clean with immaculate sheets. We did not use the dive centre as we took our own snorkelling equipment. but the dive centre looked to be well stocked. The resort shop is well stocked and staffed by a very helpful lady, my only disappointment is they do not take credit cards, cash or charge only. All staff were very pleasant and helpful, I can not single anyone out as they are all superb. One day we did meet the General Manager, Rob, we had a pleasant chat by the Bayside Grill area. It is nice to see a general manager out and about and not hiding in an office. This was our first stay at Grotto Bay, but it will not be our last. Thank you everyone.
