Lovely vacation
Returned home yesterday from a lovely 5 night stay. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very welcoming. The servers in the restaurant were attentive and we enjoyed the all inclusive option for 3 days. Sienna at the front desk and Zye at the concierge desk were both amazing and should be recognized for their exceptional service to guests as they both went the extra distance to ensure we had an enjoyable stay and it is evident that they both take pride in their jobs. We hope to return and highly recommend this resort due to the attentive customer service we received.

A Truly Welcoming Bermudian Escape
Grotto Bay Beach Resort in Bermuda offers a truly distinctive experience. Conveniently located, it radiates charm and provides easy access to Bermuda’s remarkable sights. The resort is thoughtfully designed, sprinkled with hidden gems—quiet spots perfect for peace, relaxation, and enjoying the island’s beautiful natural wonders. It’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The food is outstanding; every meal was nothing short of culinary art, with every detail thoughtfully curated. What truly sets the resort apart is the exceptional staff. Every team member is not just friendly, but goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and valued. There were no surprises—except the pleasant ones. On top of everything, the Bermudian people themselves are the kindest, most genuinely helpful, and welcoming people in the world. I truly felt at home and can’t wait to return.

Amazing views, nice food and beverage staff , and the food is spectacular, but the bar staff are very selfish and rude.
I was at the bar at the grotto bay at 4:30 when I suddenly came across a gentleman named Dwayne that was a bartender at the resort he was very rude and demanding when I was simply asking for an explanation on the bar menu. He was telling me that we were closed and that I should go somewhere else terrible customer service and I will not be attending again.

Amazing holiday with a cave to swim in
We have had the most amazing experience here. The staff go above and beyond and always have a ready smile. We found the food choices great, and to swim in a cave pool is surreal. It’s close to the airport and the buses take you all over the island. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Mixed Feelings
I decided to get away for my birthday (not acknowledged by the hotel) and settled on Grotto Bay Hotel as it was reasonably priced. Upon arrival the lobby area and staff were very welcoming. Rooms: the rooms and bathrooms are very dated and in need of a refresh. Our first room in the 800 block looked dusty and any 'seaview' was obscured by overgrown foliage. The staff quickly moved me to the 400 block which was better but not at all luxurious. I also find it strange that rooms at this price point do not provide bottles of water in the room/robes etc. Food: Bermuda is ridiculously expensive for everything! The food in the hotel was mediocre and overpriced. I am not a fussy eater but I don't think that I had one decent meal in 6 days. On the International Buffet night, the ribs were bloody and raw but burnt on the inside by the bone, not great. I would suggest that instead of having two menus (of very similar dishes), have one short, well executed menu. I mean, how many salad variations do you need? Just state salad and add toppings? Bar drinks were great with true Caribbean measures! Facilities: I am 41 and travelled with my 37 year old brother and we were so bored and I heard others say the same. I understand that it is low season but nothing was open and there was very little evening entertainment. The place felt dead. We of course travelled in the day around the island but the bar, common spaces and restaurants just had no vibe at all. The jacuzzi was broken for all 6 days with no apology. Local Area: Swizzle Inn Pub, Blue Hole and the Crystal and Fairy Caves are close by and nice to visit. Bus stops are right outside the hotel and the transportation is easy to navigate. Staff: In general, very polite and helpful, especially those at reception and in the bar. One very very rude doorman who refused to help me call a cab to the airport and just pointed at me to use the app HITCH. Misc: Bermuda is annoyingly influenced by the American problem of tipping for every nonsense activity, so with the obligatory service charge, food and drink is very expensive. I would recommend the All Inclusive package if you plan to drink any alcohol. I calculated over the week and I saved significant amounts of money, only eating twice a day and drinking 3-4 drinks. Overall: I would not pay full price for this hotel as the quality does not match the price point. If you are used to luxury accommodation and treatment, this is not it. In my opinion it is overpriced 3 Star with few facilities and no buzz. For half price (which is what I paid), I was still not happy but a bargain is a bargain and Bermuda is expensive.
- AdvisoryWe are delighted to advise you the new Palm Court Restaurant is open! The restaurant will offer a new menu and more seating, yet still serve up the delicious food and friendly service that we are known for, with even better views. The contemporary Island inspired design and Mediterranean-Bermudian themed menu will complement the dining experience further against the backdrop of azure ocean horizons from every angle.
