While the place is huge, has friendly staff and offers a lot to a lot of people, it was way overpriced for my kind of trip. I did excursions every day so wasn't able to eat breakfast my entire trip b/c they have no food available for early risers, and they wouldn't give me any kind of fruit for the next morning. Also, the fact you can only book dinner reservations two days in advance is problematic if you do excursions, b/c the concierge isn't available early morning or late evening, so I was stuck eating the buffet for every dinner. It wasn't that great - pretty bland, and not many healthy options for vegetarians. The concierge told me the sports bar served food 24/7, but the morning I went early, they didn't. When I returned at 3 pm, the snack places were closed and the only place serving food only had chicken and pork. So this "all-inclusive" came with too many restrictions for me. Also, the pool water was too hot - it was like taking a bath. So I will definitely find a more food-inclusive place next time.

From the momemt we arrived to the momemt we left we had an absolutely amazing time, such a stunning hotel from the rooms to the grounds and how it's all kept so clean, entertainments staff amazing.. Food and restaurant spot on and special mention to staff Ricardo bar man at middle pool works so hard always smiling and Veronica in mamma Mia so lovely and professional.. The animals in hotel from cute cats to cute cooties, deer and monkeys and iguanas were a great addition.. Beach beautiful a littke seaweed but staff work hard to clear it.. We will definitely return one day

Lets get into this review… Whew, where to start?! Check in was warm and long! The lobby isn’t cooled by any fans and if it’s warm outside you’ll likely sweat while waiting. We waited about 20-30 mins to check in and there was only 2-3 people in front of us. The process is fairly simple when getting to the desk but they do not move in a hurry and they small talk a lot behind the counter thus extending your wait. Not to mention the room was not available at 3 but more like 3:30ish. The food… same pork & chicken taco options everyday by the main pools (with music). The buffet was not great and of course it was mostly the same offerings daily. The bacon is often cooked very fast and left greasy as well as the hash brown potatoes. The bread and fruit options are good. The food is not replenished as well as it could be. The attendants are pretty good at keeping your glasses refilled. Restaurants… I guess I’d suggest booking when you check in because they are often “booked” although, if you opt for outdoor seating at the price of a wine bottle or lobster up charge… you can be seated. I didn’t like that considering I came to an all inclusive resort to avoid certain al la carte costs. The bars… the drinks were okay. I’d suggest ordering a double shot of whatever you’re having to avoid feeling like it’s watered down. Wildlife… I’d never seen deer in the Caribbean but they have them casually grazing at this resort along with monkeys swinging above in the trees, cats lounging around, geckos, iguanas, and something I googled to be called a Coati. Weirdest jungle experience ever, but nothing bothered us along our walks around the resort. The resort is huge, clean and well maintained. There are plenty of areas to sit and relax, lots of pools. We never felt cramped or hovered. There is evening entertainment but no daytime entertainment, unless you’re at the pool. They could schedule more to do during the day. The theater is large with plenty seating to enjoy the shows. There IS an issue of people leaving towels on their seats and not returning thus not allowing others to also enjoy the shaded umbrella/cabana areas. They could use a pool staff to resolve this issue. The rooms are large but dated, the Tv’s are small and the channels are limited. The room service option is an additional cost for Jr suite members and the wait is LONG!!!! We ordered and received food over an hour later and the food was COLDDDDD. We were very disappointed SO WE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED IT and there was no accommodation other than not billing us. The pizza is terrible. Housekeeping was daily and they kept our room restocked and clean! I hope this helps someone. I never made it to the small beach. The pool area was enough for me.

Don’t miss out of paradise because of a few negative reviews!!
An amazing trip! Surprised my husband with this for Christmas. It was his first time doing an all-inclusive. We did the platinum. Loved it so much that we are going back next April with another couple and staying in the Laguna Villas this time. Definitely recommend the upgrade to Platinum. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Drinks are amazing and the food was very good! There was a lot of seaweed on the beach and they worked VERY hard at trying to keep up with it…no fault of the hotel. I looked at so many other places to try for our next trip, but decided to go back to what we know was amazing! Did 4 nights this past March…doing 7 nights next April! Cannot wait for our friends to get to enjoy this beautiful place with us! Counting down!! Thank you to all of the amazing staff!

Highly recommend this resort, especially if you're considering getting married here!
We had a fantastic time at this resort! It was our second time staying, and we got married there this trip. Our wedding planner Vianey was incredible. She was so professional and organized. Vianey upgraded us to the Master Suite (Platinum) which was breathtaking. Platinum guests get 24-hour free room service, and this was such a great touch! Our room had an ocean view, complete with a kitchenette, living room and two bathrooms. It was a luxurious stay, and we loved every moment of it. My bridal hair and makeup was done by America at the spa, and she did an AMAZING job. My husband and I highly recommend getting married here, it was seamless! Our friends and family also had a fantastic stay, and we loved every second.
