Dec 23, 20253 star at the most...careful of the taxi tours
...asked for a high room facing the ocean...received a room with the trees as a view...asked to change...advised place was full....toilet did'nt work...not flushing...fixed after 2 service calls...could not get the A/C under 68 degrees...2 service calls...advised best could do...many issues with room service trying to get water and coffee...was told was only allowed 2 water bottles a day and 4 coffees....TV only had one english channel...WIFI kept stopping...could hear the elevator operating from our room...banging and clanging...the stairs in the place were not to safety standards...to high a rise and too long a step....so people with mobility issues were affected...the walkways through out the resort were a faux Inca or Aztec design...lots of bumpy stones and lots of sharp edges...again persons with mobility issues had to to be extra..i saw a person being pushed by in a wheelchair...the person in the chair was shaking about...a person could not walk around barefoot because of the bumpy surface...the food was lacklustre in all the restaurants...usually cold..lacking any effort...the buffet was good... ...the staff was great...the little man made beach and bars was great entertainment...coffee bar was good... ...nothing to do with the resort...booked with the local taxi in front of the hotel to drive us around the island for $ 90. USD...which was a deal considering what a half day rental was..i said my goal was the beach park at the south end with the light house...( have been there previous ) ...he kept stopping at beach bars and day resorts on the way...wanting us to go in and look around and have a drink...he said his " friends" owned the beach after three stops ( he always had a drink in hand when we were leaving ) I said the beach park is still my goal...we ran out of time of course and we headed back to the city via the back way...being stuck in traffic for the last 20 mins...when we got back...i paid him...no tip...and told him I wasn't happy... anyhow...hate to complain...this is my 14 th Caribbean trip...this was the most unusual...been to Mexico 6 times...this trip was good...the resort was lacking....

All-Inclusive in Name Only - Persistent Service Failures
I selected Grand Park Royal Cozumel for its all-inclusive offering whilst diving in the area. Whilst the property has potential, the execution of basic service standards was deeply problematic throughout my three-night stay in December 2025. The recurring issue that defined my stay was the complete failure to provide drinking water in my room. Each day after housekeeping service, I would return to find no bottled water had been left. I would telephone reception, be assured water would arrive immediately, and then nothing would happen. This became a daily ritual of multiple telephone calls, repeated assurances, and eventual escalation before water finally appeared. On my final evening, this reached farcical proportions when my 4pm request was not fulfilled until 8:30pm, and only after I specifically requested to speak with a manager. The restaurant service on my last night was equally concerning. I sat through an entire dinner service without a single member of staff offering me a beverage. For an all-inclusive resort where drinks should be readily available, being completely ignored throughout dinner was remarkable. The room itself required immediate maintenance attention upon check-in. The mini bar fridge was entirely non-functional, and the air conditioning could not achieve the set temperature. These were eventually fixed, but rooms should be guest-ready before arrival. A final observation: whilst the resort clearly caters to international guests, all satellite television channels were exclusively in Spanish, providing no entertainment options for English-speaking visitors. The food quality was acceptable, which prevents this from being an entirely negative assessment. However, when you pay for all-inclusive accommodation, you expect basic amenities to be provided without requiring repeated telephone calls and complaints. The persistent service failures and the energy required to obtain standard amenities significantly detracted from what should have been a relaxing experience. I would struggle to recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to service standards and staff responsiveness.

Great beach otherwise very poor
Food was bad. They need to change chefs and food suppliers. Rooms are outdated. But hotel area was clean and green. Good entertainment team. Beach was great. Hot water in shower run well.

Really hard to find food to eat if you are vegetarian, vegan, don't eat pork, don't do alcohol, gluten intolerance or any other dietary restriction. Food is not labeled when you ask the answers differ depending on who you ask.

Restaurante Frida was amazing! Excellent service and food!! Eddy, Omar, Ricardo, Camerino were our staff!! Highly recommend!
