Lousy food for 4 star promises
The resort is huge and well appointed But not being in the top Tier the 13 odd restaurant's were inaccessible you paid Additional Fees per person This amounted to what would be the cost of a full meal and not a supplemental Fee for a specialty a La Carte. So in the time I was there there were only two Buffet style options, Both serving the same Tasteless food. As well Each room had a safe However you needed to purchase a Lock-set for use $ 14USD per Day !!. The standard wyfi so weak about the only thing would work was Whats app texting I was not able to pass pictures, Listen to music or look at the internet. I ended up paying the roaming charges on my cell as this was cheaper then the Wyfi. None of these things were not explained at time of booking, Nor is this brand and location considered cheep. I was at an Iberostar prior to Xmas Same package 4 Star all inclusive and it was fantastic. I will not be returning

Best trip ever
The hotel is one of the oldest and biggest in Cancun, but it’s well kept and friendly staff. We opted for and paid a little more for a better experience in service and access. We had our own concierge who was always available made dinner reservations at the exclusive restaurants, trips and had drinks, fruit or snacks in our room and every night. Frank was out concierge and made our anniversary trip memorable and can wait to come back to Oasis Cancun .

Misleading
Trip booker be advised!!, the images of this hotel in the marketing material are very very misleading. What you are actually seeing is images of the Pyramid Hotel. When you book the Grand Oasis you can only actually use about 40% of the resorts faculties, everything else requires a black wristband or an up charge. Black wristbands are only issued to guests staying at the pyramid (the middle building shown in the picture), all of the facilities in front of the Pyramid also require a black wrist band to use them, this includes any bar or restaurant that you can see in front of the pyramid. The actual grand oasis refers the building on either side of the pyramid and the facilities in front of them only. That being said the entertainment at this hotel is very very good. The specialty restaurants are good, but the wait is 20 minutes at the breakfast buffeted for an omelet or for fried eggs. ( I am not exaggerating!!) and each of the bars only have 1 person serving customers at a time, lines do get long but move quickly.

Not a clean place to spend your time and money at.
We got sent to this "resort" when our flight got canceled. When we pulled up late at night, from the outside it looked like a very nice place. When we got into it, it seemed more like the Temple of Doom. I get that they were accommodating us on short notice, but I think there was a reason they had rooms for close to 300 people. The inside was a bit dark; we did get checked in after a wait, I fully understand that due to the situation. We hadn't eaten or drank all day and they offered us nothing upon check in other than you can hit up the buffet. As the resort is big, we had to walk a bit to get to our room, but when we got to the general location, there was water in the main lobby along with water in the hallway and the rooms. Our room was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting, and water was on the floor by the sliding door. There were to old beers in the fridge, no bottled water. We went to the buffet, waited for about a half hour, not much food left as it was after 9 PM. Had to ask to get a bottle of water to make coffee in the morning but turns out the coffee maker did not work. Everyone from our flight that stayed there had the same experience. I am just glad we did not book a weeks stay at this place.
