    A great base for Disney. Clean, good food, friendly staff.

    I think negative reviewers either got unlucky or are a bit particular… We found this hotel to be a great stay. The food and service were excellent; huge choice, all fresh & tasty, with very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of room, so unless you go for breakfast at 09:55, you’ll get sat straight away. The room was a bit warm, but opening the window sorted that. Kids loved their bunk beds. Our bed, although not the best, we still had a solid sleep in! Could do with a touch more storage, but not bad. All clean and fresh linen every day. Bathroom is a bit dated, but clean and everything works well. The pool was fine for a quick dip, but it was too warm, but the area and changing rooms again were clean and tidy. The bar area with music and screens / lighting is a lovely place to sit with family for a drink, very nice ambience. The free shuttle is a good service, but extra buses are needed. It was often very busy, especially in the evening returning to the hotel. However, an Uber was about €12, so if you don’t want to wait, it’s not the end of the world!

    Disappointing Experience at Grand Magic Hotel

    Our stay at Grand Magic Hotel was far from magical. The service was abysmal, with housekeeping neglecting their duties. Regard the breakfast it provides a limited food selection that left much to be desired. Despite our request and willingness to pay, the hotel refused to grant a late check-out, adding to the frustration. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout our stay. From insufficient towels to a lack of proper cleaning, the hotel fell short on basic hygiene standards. The absence of a luggage service meant guests had to haul their belongings themselves, adding unnecessary hassle to the experience. Moreover, the hotel’s amenities left much to be desired. The air conditioning was non-functional, despite complaints to the reception staff who dismissed our concerns with flimsy excuses. Insects and flyers were a common sight, further adding to the discomfort. The absence of a lifeguard at the pool and the lack of towels only exacerbated safety concerns and inconveniences. Additionally, the early checkout time of 11 AM was inconvenient and out of sync with industry standards, inconveniencing guests. To top it off, the pervasive unpleasant odor throughout the premises only added insult to injury. Overall, our experience at Grand Magic Hotel was marred by poor service, cleanliness issues, and inadequate amenities. We cannot recommend this establishment to fellow travelers.

    Disappointing Experience: Not Worth the 4-Star Rating

    I chose this hotel for the final night of our trip, lured by its purported 4-star status and appealing photos. However, this decision proved to be a regrettable mistake. Upon arrival, the shiny facade of the reception area quickly faded into a stark reality of neglect throughout the hotel. Our room was a testament to this, with peeling paint on the walls and noticeable chunks missing from the bath. Breakfast was a chaotic affair, with empty tables cluttered with dirty dishes and the hot food bordering on inedible. The pool area, another anticipated highlight, was a letdown as well. Lacking staff presence, we were left to fend for ourselves, discovering that guests were expected to provide their own towels. Maintenance issues were evident here too, reflecting the overall neglect of the property. While the hotel may benefit from its convenient location, it falls far short of the standard expected of a 4-star establishment. My advice: opt for a nearby Air B&B and use your money for nice food from a local cafe/taxis or invest a bit more for a stay at a Disney Hotel which actually that much more with the park tickets. In summary, this hotel’s shoddy rooms and subpar amenities do not justify its pricing or advertised rating. It’s a lesson learned to scrutinise reviews more closely before booking. Just to note I did write a complaint and was offered a discounted stay here again, I told them I would never stay in their hotel again.

    The makeover is two thumbs up!

    Oh wow! What a make over. The lobby is simply amazing and the rooms look better than ever! We stayed two nights here and loved it. We had a few nights at the Cheyenne hotel and though it’s great to stay onsite the rooms were shabby. We’ve been frequent travelers to DLP over the years and since the makeover, this hotel is now the business so why not the 5*? Firstly, the surprise of €25 per day to park your car in the car park - very steep and only introduced. Secondly, what a drama! We gave up on the second day as it was chaos and queuing past the lifts. At night you are treated to a lovely light show within the bar area. Overall good stay!

    A useful base but very basic for the price.

    Really not the best hotel for its 4 stars. We went for a half board option but breakfast is awful, and dinner has not been great every night. Check in was the slowest check in I’ve ever experienced and the check in desk forgot to give us our half board voucher so we then had to queue again, wasting another half an hour. The rooms are pretty basic for the price. The pool was nice, and they allowed us to stay on after check out, which was handy for a later flight.
