The views are amazing. strayed for the second time in a different location and both years had an incredible experience. Resort shuttles make everything so much easier too.

Much better this time around!
We had a little bit of a rocky experience last year. It is very clear that they took our complaints into consideration and they made noticeable changes.We were upgraded to a beautiful room and the check-in process was quick and efficient. The valet staff were on top of everything, including having our bags in our car when we arrive back from skiing on the day we checked out breakfast was delicious and the service was great. I loved the kid activities and my kids loved making the survival bracelets! The woman helping them was wonderful and attentive. We were really happy with our stay this year!

Great winter stay
Great property and wonderful staff. Great location to Chair 20 to Vail mountain. Food is unfortunately just so so, but the staff at Gessner are great and really trying to help. Overall, will definitely return in the future.

Wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt Vail (Feb 13–16, 2026)
We had a delightful stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail from February 13–16, 2026, and it truly lived up to the experience we were hoping for. The food at Gessner was excellent, and what really elevated the experience was the service. Cristina, who took care of us at dinner, was absolutely wonderful - warm, attentive, and made the evening feel special. Breakfast service was equally memorable thanks to Benjamin, who was consistently friendly and thoughtful. A special shout-out to Terrell, who literally went out of his way to get us lattes from the market when the restaurant coffee machine was down - small gesture, but it made a big impression. One minor hiccup was at check-in. Polina at the front desk made us feel a bit rushed and didn’t seem very interested in answering our questions. In fact, my 12-year-old daughter - who normally doesn’t notice these things - remarked right after we walked away, “I think that lady did not like us!” That said, this was an isolated moment and didn’t reflect the rest of the staff or our overall experience. Overall, it was a fantastic stay with great food, outstanding service, and a beautiful setting. We would absolutely come back and look forward to returning in the future.

Wonderful ski in/out hotel
Outstanding Hotel! We loved the ski-in/ski-out ! Very convenient. You're literally steps away from the chairlift. They also offer an onsite rental/storage and lift tickets as well. Its worth of the extra fee to stay in a room with a mountain view and creek view. Just beautiful and listening to the creek was very relaxing. You can sit outside on the deck with coffee, A great way to start the day. We did eat at Makoto's. Excellent service and fantastic food however, portions were very small and prices are extremely high so be prepared if you eat here. We will be back and highly recommend this hotel.
