    Not ideal for skiing

We had a wonderful time at Grand Hyatt Vail the rooms were newly renovated with a sofa sitting area overlooking the mountains we were fortunate to have skied during perfect conditions however beware ski lifts tickets are outrageous at over 300 per day and it’s not ski in ski out you can take a lift up but coming back is a real pain you have to take a shuttle back and it’s a long walk to the shuttle

Another Great Stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail

Another great stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail. Great hotel with immediate access to the mountain with their own lift. They treat Globalists very well here also! We had a great dinner at Makoto so make sure you make a reservation well in advance as its normally fully booked.

    Simply perfect

An efficent check in and a ski lift steps from the resort allowed us to be on the slops in less than 30 minutes from the valet taking out luggage. A fantastic start to a very pleasant 3 night stay. Patti Perez, senior manager, was such a great help in setting up all the needed little extras to make the stay memerable. The suggested Makoto restaurant was the perfect end to a great ski day. The rooms are nice size, and very comfortable and quiet. The resort staff did not have a flaw. I will be back.

Time to deep clean, replace beat up furniture and train staff on customer service.

This was our second stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail. The first visit, in 2022 was wonderful, but something has changed. This time the attentiveness of the staff was lacking. The service was slow in the bar lounge and Gessner Restaurant. The room was dirty and the furniture beat up - we were staying in a Suite. When we arrived, they put us in a Suite facing the road. We asked for a room change so we could have a view. We were given a room change on the second day. Unfortunately, the room was extremely noisy because we were over a mechanical room. There were bugs in the living area ceiling light and what looked to be bugs smashed all over the ceiling around the light. The shower had peeling caulk and it looked like that caulk had been placed over old caulk with mold on it - gross. With the exception of the front desk staff, the other people we encountered were less than kind. The bellman called to see if we were ready for our bags - after we told him yes he hung up the phone without saying anything. The people at the front door do not open the door for you and staff we saw in the hallway look down when passing you. Maybe I'm being too picky, but it seems to me that when you are paying more than your mortgage payment for a few days of rest and relaxation you'd have a better experience. The view out the back of the hotel is spectacular though! Needless to say we were disappointed and will look for a different hotel the next time we are in Vail.

Hotel was conveniently located and great for families w small kids. Ski/snowboard rentals located right I am hotel as well as lift outside door. Downside is grout in shower was missing and black in those spots. Furniture in rooms needs to be upkept and touched up. Lots of scratches etc. beds extremely comfortable and clean.
