Grand Hyatt is extremely noisy!

This hotel is unbearably loud due to the Beach club next door. Do not stay in an Ocean facing suite or front left part of the building…we downgraded rooms to escape the noise. The hotel itself is a bit tired and worn looking…if you are looking for a plush bed this is not the hotel to stay in-the bed was very firm with somewhat lumpy pillows. Overall I would rate this hotel as a 3 star. The front desk and Club staff were the best part of the stay…friendly and very helpful!

Great service by Hector Garcia. He was quick and extremely sweet! I enjoyed the service and and how we were handled. We got a complimentary desert. Thank you and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! It is a must when coming here. Come come come!

Augusto @ The Grill

We ate at The Grill and had the pleasure of being served by Augusto! He was beyond kind and the food was incredible. Great tacos, delicious Gnocchi. Augusto was friendly and hospitable but not overbearing. Highly recommend for a dinner with your love or family.

Destination Wedding Venue - And So Much More!

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen for a family wedding. The views from all parts of the facility are stunning; the cascading outdoor lobby area spills right into gift shops, restaurants, multiple pools, and ultimately the soft white sandy beach. All amenities are fully staffed; we experienced very little wait time for the abundance of dining, drinking, and cabana-ing that we enjoyed. The variety and selection of on-site food is great, and they even took it to a whole different level for the wedding reception meal ~ it was fabulous! And as an additional bonus, this property is just a few blocks away from the “area pedonale” that is also full of shops, restaurants, and energy.

Rarely is something better than the pictures...

This place is absolutely amazing. That view when you first walk in is unforgettable. It's an amazing beach, amazing pool, friendly staff, and walking distance to Playa with all it has to offer. Don't really understand what's not to like here. We are planning to come back again next year. I personally think this place is almost unbeatable given location, service, etc.
