    A nice property

    Comfortable property with many restaurants and lots of peacocks. I just spent a night at this property before meeting up with a friend at another hotel. The staff was most attentive, the food very good and the rooms were simple and well-appointed. I enjoyed walking the grounds and meeting other guests.

    I wanted to love this property but can’t. When we arrived to our room there were no wash cloths, no hand soap, the sliding door was broken, our air was low the whole time during our stay ( we could feel the air coming out normally from other rooms we walked by), our bathroom had little flys coming out the sinks the entire time. Our water was barely warm in the bathroom. Our mini bar was not cold at all and we were told it’s not meant to keep items cold just room temperature which is not true at all. Our toilet seat broke there was no point in asking them to fix it since we would have had to walk to the lobby to reach someone. We did ask to change rooms on day 2 and they never did. Whenever we called the front desk or room service we were never able to speak to someone. Many of the TV channels did not have sound. The WiFi you can only use for a few hours at a time unless you pay for premium which is greedy in my opinion. The resort was nice it was renovated and clean. The food was not good at all and the alcohol is cheap. I ended up not drinking most of the trip. The main pool was dirty. I got severely sick on our second night there which was most likely from a salad I ate in which I said NO bacon when we left I noticed the salads were pre made which makes me think they took the bacon off mine and brought it out. The main pool was dirty. In my opinion this is not a 4/5 star resort I would not stay again and I would not recommend.The wait staff were friendly and beach was nice and the peacocks were cool. We had a day pass to the hard rock which was amazing I say stay there for a truly a great experience. I see the resort has commented on some reviews but made no effort to make things right. And many people have had the same issues which means they haven’t bothered to fix them. Like I said above stay at the hard rock.

    Horrible, you should go elsewhere

    Not worth the money. From the check in experience and everything so far. We are still here now and someone has taken money out of our safe. Called in and reported it and as I’m writing this, over 30 minutes have gone by and no one is here yet to help

    30th Anniversary. Fun vacation

    This was a wonderful experience. The welcoming was beautiful. The attention in the restaurants we attended was above a beyond! I want to give a special THANK YOU to Ingrit Mejía, Ana iris, Iliander, Kennedy, Gregorio en La Hispaniola y Darlin en La Palapa. for their arduous work and attention to the guest. If you ever visit this place and restaurants ask for them they won’t disappoint. The only complaint I have was the guess keeping knocking at the door, barging in when there was no answer, but one was in the bathroom (with the do not disturb sign on the door) then they would do a 7 o’clock phone call. Just to ask if the room needed cleaning. They disrupted our sleep for the first 3 days and it became really frustrating. We were on vacation, there was no need to get up so early. Overall, even after this inconvenience, we had a wonderful time. And we sure will be back to DR.

    2nd time... I think was a mistake

    Is not the same as 2022. We ar a returning couple, our last visit was august 2022. We had such an incredible experience that we decided not not risk it as last year on a different hotel and come back to what we thought we knew. I don't know if is that the peak of bad behavior of Dominicans as one myself has put in jeopardy the wellness to serve. The app is wonky and keeps sending you to the beggining as you are not checked in. They tell you you can book the restaurant 24 hours prior but doesn't let us select the pax not restaurantt to book for tomorrow. Everything "is either full or we can set it to 2 pax" which 2 years ago was open with to reservations but that's okay procedures change. But make at least workable. Upon our arrival our room was only prepared for 1. I called guest service and she was lovely and understanding but the housekeeper was doubting to provide me an extra towel just because I just arrived. Also, our shower has the filter open! Ma'am is plus 30 Celsius degrees outside and we wish to take a shower before venturing the hotel. We decided to have a snack at the pub since buffet wasn't opened yet. I had to walk to the employees after 15 mins waiting for them to give us the hour of the day. The excuse was that each other thought that the other have taken the order. Which comes to our order we order nachos as an appetizer, and they served hot right but the guacamole was spoiled. No fries. No cutlery. 3 times we had to ask for the drinks which we requested to be provided first since is hot. I really hope this stay improves because is a disappointment after telling everyone and their mother I know; how good our previous experience was and recommending it.
