Not Worth the Price – Disappointing All-Inclusive Experience
This place is not worth returning to or recommending, especially for the price. The grounds are well-maintained and the staff are generally friendly and nice. Unfortunately, that’s about the only positive. Upon check-in, we received no instructions on how to find our room and no map of the resort. The bellhop took our bags but never delivered them to our room, which was strange and frustrating. The food options are one of the biggest letdowns. There are only three restaurants plus a buffet. One restaurant has very limited hours (open only Tuesday–Thursday, from what we could tell). The buffet was consistently not worth eating at. We tried the Mexican and Italian spots—the food was decent at first but quickly got repetitive. Our best meals ended up being the simple grab-and-go sandwiches from the deli and burgers by the pool. If you want a proper meal, I strongly recommend walking down the street to Navios (great seafood with lagoon views) instead of relying on the resort’s dining. Making reservations was a nightmare. The resort pushes you to use an app for bookings, but the app doesn’t actually let you make them. Staff told us to just show up at 6 p.m. and hope for availability. When we asked the front desk for help, they suddenly required a $100 USD cash deposit (even though we had already been checked in for hours). We asked around and couldn’t find any other guests who had to do this, so it felt very suspicious. The bars (pool bar, lobby bar, and the one by the Mexican restaurant) don’t open until 11 a.m. and close around midnight. Tipping a few dollars definitely helps you get better/faster service—most people don’t seem to tip here. Also you will see a picture attached of hair in a drink we had received, no good at all. On the positive side, the entertainment was solid. The nighttime shows were enjoyable, the pool activities were decent, and they offered fun extras like kayaking tours on the lagoon. There was also usually something happening in the lobby bar area after the main show. The pool area itself is nice, with three options: a lively main pool (with music and activities), one overlooking the ocean, and a quiet pool. Just know that people claim chairs early with towels, so you’ll need to get up early if you want a good spot. The chairs are packed very close together, which makes it feel crowded. The beach has plenty of chairs available (no umbrellas, though). Overall, if you don’t like waiting in lines for food, drinks, or reservations, save yourself the headache and choose a different resort. Between the disorganized service, limited/mediocre food, and odd cash request, our experience was really disappointing. I wish we could get a refund.

Beautiful resort/wonderful staff
We have we stayed at this resort every year for almost 20 years. We have made many friends with the staff at this resort who are now like family to us. Before I share a bit more about the resort I want to thank those friends/family. Our stays here would never be the same without you all. You do your jobs with kindness and respect and we greatly appreciate you all. The GR Solaris is incredibly lucky to have you all. Thank you to: Hector and Itzel in Premiere Services; Vermon, Alan, and Yamel in Restaurant and Bar services, Hector and Erick at the member bar; Lizeth, Leo, Aurielano, Pinto, Angel and Feliciano for your exceptional service at the various restaurants/bars at the resort. Finally to Yzreal and Ruben the absolute best that the entertainment staff has to offer!! This resort through the years continues to provide excellent service at every level, is beautifully maintained and always feels like we’re going back home. We brought some of our children and grandchildren this year and they had an incredible time!

Great experience
Had a fantastic time. Beautiful beach and blue water. Hotel was nice, clean, staff was amazing. Food had a great selection A la carts were a little hard to book i suggest booking on app as soon as you arrive. The best part by far was the kids club! The kids water park and slids were great with little kid loungers. Has a little park with a climber and slide perfect for the kids to run around and play and meet new friends. Shout out to the staff in the kids club Bel, Criss, Lupita,Eva and Fabi! they were amazing so friendly, great crafts and activities everyday and very talented face painters! Would go back just for them!

Not the best experience
Booking a dinner is a challenge, stuff won’t help you with it. Not too much of entertainment or games. Beach dirty. Hot tub water green and dirty. Rooms outdated and paint peeling off. Water in a hallway hot and disgusting.

GR Solaris VIP bar exceptional
GR Solaris Highlight: Members VIP Bar. The bartenders, Hector and Erick were superb. Best Old Fashion I've ever had by a bartender. All drinks were professionally prepared and tasted great!
