Best hotel in Las Vegas by a country mile

I stayed in a basic ‘Bleau’ room last year and loved this new hotel so much that I kept an eye on the prices this year. I did book the basic Bleau room earlier in the year but on Black Friday a great offer came up to book a Royal Suite Best View for about $200 more than the basic Bleau room was going to cost me for five nights in December including Christmas Day! I also got an early check in as I was arriving from another hotel in Las Vegas - definitely saving the best until last. And because there had been a mix up cancelling the other booking the reception clerk waived the early check in fee so I was in my suite and unpacking before 11.30! The suite was lovely, I was on the 66th floor and had an amazing view overlooking the Sphere which is just what I wanted. I paid $75 for a late check out (3pm) as my flight was in the evening. There is a smallish shower room as you walk into the suite, I guess if you have visitors it’s better than them walking through the bedroom. Then a large mirror with coat hooks before you enter the living area. There is a small kitchenette area - like most Vegas hotels no coffee maker or kettle but as well as the mini bar there is a large chiller draw to keep your own food cool, and more cupboard space than you would ever need. At the end of both the living room and the bedroom is a large picture window and the sun was streaming through when I arrived. The sheers and curtains are both controlled from panels on the walls. The door to the bedroom is off the living room and it is larger than the living area with a big wardrobe, chest of drawers, another couch and another table with two chairs, as well as the huge bed. The lighting and curtains are all controlled from wall panels however one thing I found out was that these operate on their own if they think the room is vacant. A bit spooky! Off the bedroom is a huge bathroom with a very large bath, shower, double sink and another toilet. The towels are large and appeared quite new. One improvement since my last visit is that the shampoo, conditioner etc, which had been in rigid plastic bottles and had been challenging to use have all been replaced with pliable plastic containers. Still the same gorgeous scent though. There was also a mini loofah in each of the bathrooms and in the main bathroom there was toothpaste, mouthwash and razors. Room service is a bit random, seems to happen late afternoon even if you ask for it earlier. And I kept being left more towels and water than I could ever use but they did not replenish the shampoos etc. Also the turn down service was very random. It only actually happened on one of the nights of my stay. I saw the person doing it on a second night and just asked him for one of the delicious chocolates that they leave, but they had run out!! And they don’t sell them in the hotel shop which I think is a missed opportunity. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent. The bar and restaurant choice which includes a food court is excellent in the Fontainebleau and the spa is the best I have ever been in in Las Vegas. People complain about the location and it being too far north of the Strip but there are both north and southbound bus stops outside the hotel and I had no problem getting an Uber or cab when needed. One of the pools was open although it was December and the main pool had been replaced with an ice rink. This was very popular particularly as the Cosmopolitan didn’t have an ice rink for the first time in years. They were showing free Christmas films too although it was quite chilly the night I went. Another bonus is that when I went to the Reward desk I found out that I had two $100 dining credits - one from 2024 when I did not realise I had hit silver, and another from this year. As well as $88 resort credit on my card and I am not a big gambler. The Fontainebleau rewards programme seems quite generous when compared to the MGM properties where I have stayed previously. This is a fabulous hotel and if I come back to Las Vegas (as I have done every year for the last 15 years!!) I will be looking to stay here again.

    Disappointing

If you are a FHR member and utilizing your benefits beware of this hotel! We booked an upgraded desert view room and we got a room on the 3rd floor with the view of the roof and HVAC with the desert mountain far away. (See photo). No bottled water at check in. The breakfast for two credit is only available at la Fontaine restaurant and when we walked down there at 9am although the restaurant was only half full the hostess informed us their next available table was at 12:30 (convenient after the 12:00 deadline to use the credit). They did not note the 4pm checkout benefit on our reservation so housekeeping manager knocked on our door at 11:30 to ask when we were leaving the room. The ice rink was closed due to bad weather then not open until 2pm. The ride share pick up points are a trek so if you are dressed up you will have to walk a long wait to get there. The hall of excellence is $35/pp for a small exhibit. The hotel itself is far from the main strip and there are very few stores to browse and a small food court with limited offerings. It’s a pretty hotel and nice room itself but the service from multiple staff members left a lot of be desired. The casino cashier guy looked like he didn’t want to be bothered when I went to go set my pin on my card. Overall a disappointing experience. The palazzo Venetian was a much better choice!

    Solid hotel

New casino hotel located at the end of the Strip on the North side. Nice lobby/ check in area. Free self parking. Luxury shops in lobby area. Restaurants on site Rooms are spacious with nice decor, robe, slippers, clothes steamer and a mini fridge. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom is spacious with a shower and a separate bathtub. The room was not as clean as I'd have expected for a new 5 star hotel. The doors and tiles are white and you can already see stains plus wear and tear. The toilet floor area was dirty. Long walk from parking area to guest rooms. Overall it's a solid hotel near the convention center.

Can’t Say Enough About This Property

My Wife and I cannot say enough about this Property. It is truly amazing and beautiful. From the staff, rooms, casino, restaurants. What more do you want in a Property. It’s funny when people write a bad review about this Property. I can tell you that when they book it. They did not ask about what charges that are being charged to the room before they book it or check in. Ask so you don’t have to be surprised. Also, when people lose money, they tend to have more to say about the negative side of the Property. People that are genuinely there to have a great time do not complain about much. Like Us and our Friends. We love having a great time but We also understand that play and use money within your means. Sorry, I’m getting off track. Anyway, have a good time when You are here and focus on it. Then You and Your Family or Friends will get what I am trying to say. Can’t wait to get back in February on Chinese New Year. Thanks for another great time.

    Fontaine Bleau

Stayed here for first time Dec 11-15. The property is luxurious, from rooms to casino to restaurants, fitness center, all top notch. All the staff we encountered were professional and accommodating. Room service, front desk check in, bell staff, pool service, bartenders, table dealers all top notch and friendly. Drink service at casino was solid. Sportsbook is on the smaller size, but well equipped and great bartenders (Lewis). Location was not an issue for us, quick cab ride to Fremont St and close to airport. Coffee in room would be a nice addition. Would like to see more live music in the common area, perhaps by main bar just to amplify the vibe, it just needs a bit more energy. Prices for drinks and food, if you're not comped, are what you expect from vegas these days. Had some M&M's from mini bar, $27 for a jar! So maybe just walk down the street to Walgreens for snacks and booze, FYI We look forward to returning
