Horrible hotel! Please book elsewhere!
This hotel is horrible! I hated my 3-day stay here. WiFi: There is no WiFi in the rooms. Once I realized I did not have WiFi in the room, I immediately brought it to the attention of the front desk. They switched my room to a room where the WiFi router/modem is in, so that room will have “higher WiFi sensitivity”. I was in room 206, then switched to room 205. The supervisor on duty, Axel, did his best to assist me but the WiFi still did not work in room 205. Even a bellman told me switching rooms won’t help, there’s just no WiFi in rooms. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have booked this hotel. On Expedia they advertise WiFi in rooms and most common areas. It was so bad that every night I would see a few people in the lobby on their laptops since the WiFi wasn’t working in their rooms either. Bars: The bar hours are kind of inconvenient. One bar opens, when the other bar closes. The bars close at 11pm, which to me is kinda early to be an all-inclusive hotel. Also, the bartenders will stop making drinks like 15 minutes before closing time; they only have beer available. I encountered this issue at the lobby bar. I went to get a drink at 10:45pm. The bartender told me they’re closed and only have beer. I told him I don’t drink beer and it’s not 11pm yet. He refused to serve me. I went to the front desk to inform them and that’s when he made me a drink. Horrible! Restaurant: Small dining rooms. No food variety. Entertainment: None. It’s a ghost town after 11pm. Room: Clean for most part but my shower was dirty. Please book another hotel!

Terrible value for price paid. The ‘flaming don’t go’
Someone said called this place the ‘Flaming don’t go’ and I fully agree. Where do I even start ! Firstly, when we arrived we were given the room key and not given any information about where to get food, amenities or details about the hotel. On the last day we still didn’t know where to get beach towels. We had to ask a guest to help us find our room. Once we got to the room we found 2 long hairs in the shower and private part hair on the toilet. The room was a not as advertised. The so called ‘lagoon view’ is a lie. It is a main road view. You spend the whole day and night hearing the honks of cars, busses, police you name it. I don’t think I’ve slept worse in a hotel in my life . We went there for relaxation and left less relaxed. One of the nights there was a man doing maintenance with a hammer at 11:30pm that lasted till 2am. The hotel is barely English speaking. They prefer Spanish speaking guests and this seems to be their target audience. My partner asked reception if we could change room 4 times, he even asked who the manager and they dodged the question (they will say otherwise as they always do in the replies to these complaints). They denied any change of room even though we offered to pay. I think it’s because they have soooo many complaints they can’t keep up with changing everyone’s rooms. The food was horrendous as well. Very poor quality and there is only 2 restaurants for the dinner time. 2 snack bars for lunch with mediocre fast food. Additionally, the hotel is underequipped for seating. The line for the buffet was 30 mins and for the snack bar we waited for 30 mins and then they asked us if we could give up our table to squeeze in 2 additional Mexican guests we don’t know and had a language barrier with. So we were then a table of 4, this was quite funny but super unprofessional for the price we paid. All in all, if you want a traditional all inclusive experience avoid this place. The beach is good but that’s all it really has for it, it is clearly tailored to locals . We won’t be going flamingo !!!!

One of the worst hotels we have stayed in
Cons Small bar at night playing drum and bass music loudly with the same playlist night after night. When asked if the music could be turned down a little or changed the bar staff refused. Questioned the restaurant/bar manager who asked "well what music do you want?" We said anything else, but nothing changed. No-one else in the bar ever seemed to be enjoying the music. Capacity 20-30 people. Capacity of hotel approx 400. Nowhere else except the lobby to socialise which had no atmosphere as it was a seating area with seating only for approx 20 people at a push. 5 restaurants??? 1. Small buffet restaurant serving very small choice of average quality food, similar choice every night. 2. Speciality restaurant which you had to queue at 3:30 each day to book for the following evening. We were served steak (poor quality) with mash and veg. All served stone cold. Other guests reported a similar experience. 3. “International restaurant“ by the pool bar serves cheeseburgers, hot dogs and nachos. 4. Pizza restaurant serves pizzas which were actually ok but just pizza with no sides like salad or fries. 5. Starbucks is apparently the 5th restaurant and not included in the all inclusive package??? Language barrier - some staff can speak limited English but not enough. Very limited hotel information. No local information apart from tours/excursions which were touted near reception. The room was not serviced thoroughly, we never once had our cups cleaned/replaced. The terrace had broken glass resulting in a small cut on my foot. Also a chicken bone that took a couple of days to be removed. One day the towels were removed and they only left one clean towel, so we had to put in a request for more. Due to our room phone not working we had to trek to reception again. On the subject or rooms we strongly advise you not to book the "standard room" as a number of these overlook a very busy road with traffic throughout the night and early morning - e.g. 4am. The windows are not sealed and only single glazed!!! We had to pay to upgrade to a room at the other side. At checkout time - 12 noon you lose all access to the hotel facilities such as lunch/drinks even if your airport transfer is later in the day. Unless you want to pay for a late checkout at 1000 pesos an hour!!! When we questioned this we were told several times we signed a contract!?!? On asking to speak to a manager this was declined. Pros Location on the beach Maintenance requests are reasonably prompt Minibar topped up daily One or two helpful members of staff. Comfortable beds Air conditioning worked.
