Don’t do it
#1 If I wanted to sit at a pool, I would have stayed at home. I wanted a beach that didn’t exist like the hotel advised. Whatever you read on their website is NOT accurate. For the beach being closed, the pool doesn’t have enough seating to accommodate all the residents. #2 Service was HORRIBLE. The hotel was understaffed and the employees were rude. We spoke to the service manager as well as the property manager about our issues. The ONLY thing they did right was releasing us from our reservation and giving us our money back to go stay somewhere else. If you’re looking for a quick escape from Fiesta, try I Iberostar. They’re wonderful there.

Awful stay
I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews… shocked that this place is considered 4-stars. It’s more like a holiday inn but with an awful mold and mildew scent. I had to ask for a different room because the first room smelled straight up like a public restroom and reeked of urine. The second room didn’t get that much better and my hair still smells like the moldy basement/room. Don’t stay here. I really regret it and wish I could get a refund.

Real mixed bag, trending to a flop
The staff were helpful and quite welcoming. It was well staffed. The style of the hotel is very comfortable for me. The hotel is in need of maintenance though. Our first room smelled awful and had black mold on the ceiling. They changed out our room graciously, but it cost us an upgrade. The new room was nice. And then the rains started and the water was dripping in from the ceiling. We were not on the top floor... After the rains, i can see they had previously painted the ceiling area but the existing water damage became evident. The bed was comfortable and linens nice quality. The all-inclusive was a new experience and I understand the appeal. Fun short shows each evening, snacks, coffees, drinks. However, sitting in the sauna costs about $22US unless you book a treatment which costs a lot more. The buffets seemed varied enough but were a nightmare for gluten intolerant or other food allergies. My biggest concern is the lack of facility at the beach club. The photos show chairs and a habitable area, but they say there is no service. Not only is there no service, the facilities they advertise are not there. DO NOT be conned into "you can use the beach club, there is just no service there" we figured that meant we would have to take our own drinks and noshes from the other side of the street. NO. There is no place to relax. No chairs, no lounges, no easy or safe access to the water, no pier, no toilets, nothing! Not only does service not exist, the abandoned, previous beach club structures are an eyesore and attractive nuisance. The hotel staff insists this beach club was closed by the government. Yet, immediately north and south beach clubs operate fine and well. Seems only this property is subject to a government closure. The plus side is that we did get in the water one day and had the best snorkeling of our entire trip! The bar - and everything else closes at 10. If you are a night owl you will not be pleased. The pool pretty, yet undersized for a hotel this large and without beach club it's crowded and LOUD. Mexican pop music continuosly. No adult only time in the water. Maybe once they reopen the beach club and tear out water damage from the hotel and rebuild it will be excellent. We booked through Hilton Grand Vacation Club. This is the first time we feel Hilton has let us down.

Do not recommend
Very disappointed in this hotel. The website amenities and photos are false. There is no service on the beach and the beach is across the street. Upon arrival we were supposed to receive a sparkling wine drink. Ended up being pink lemonade. Food is very limited no alcohol with room service and no alcohol before the bar opens at 11 AM and then the bar closed at 10:30. Only one bar on the premises very limited food and always was served cold. Ants in our room. had to request a coffee maker, and when we did, they would only give us two coffee pods per day, which is ridiculous since it slept nine people. after the two pods they were going to charge us. We try to address art issues every day and nobody cared or try to address it. Do not waste your money at this hotel.

Wonderful staff, no swimming beach.
We booked Fiesta Americana through RCI. The staff was wonderful, including housekeeping, the spa and the servers in the restaurants. The facility itself is dated. While the king size bed was very comfortable, the rest of the furniture was dated and worn. The food in the specialty restaurants for dinners was good (not extraordinary) however lunches were limited and the food, mostly Mexican fare, was just ok. Fresh fruit was offered at breakfast, but not at lunch. The resort was clean beyond reproach and service was always available. The beach associated with the property is not a swimming beach. If you want a beach experience, you need to rent a car or take a taxi to one of the many free beaches in Cozumel. I would rate the resort between a 3 & 4 overall. All of the rooms have balconies. We had a studio that had a Lavazza espresso maker and a small refrigerator that was always well stocked with beverages and snacks which were included in the all inclusive fee. Many excursions are available for extra fees and can be booked on site. Car rental can also be booked on site, and taxis are readily available. Not having a connected swimming beach was a big disappointment to us. The resort, otherwise, was family friendly.
