Perfect Family Beach Vacation
One of our most memorable and amazing family trips yet at Fairmont Kea Lani! This was our fifth trip to the hotel in the past 10 years. Thanks to Christian at the front desk for assisting us with our paid upgrade to the ocean view two bedroom villa, it was beyond our dreams and expectations. The villa private plunge pool was incredible after spending hours in the ocean and the family pool. The villa’s kitchen and living space served us well as we hosted friends and family for meals. The service and attention to detail by staff were impeccable; the text messaging response was timely and accurate. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The variety and food quality is excellent. My personal favorite is the Maui Moco! Always a pleasure to see Chris every morning at the Kea Lani Restaurant. He has a heart of gold and provides service with a smile. Seeing him over these many years is like visiting a friend. Until next time, Chris! The snorkeling to the north of Polo Beach is fantastic if you can make it almost all the way to Four Seasons Resort. We saw turtles every day. We are impressed by the recent property-wide renovations. 10/10! We look forward to returning to the Fairmont Kea Lani. In the meantime, we will be dreaming about this perfect family beach vacation for many years to come. Thanks to the wonderful staff at your beautiful hotel!

Wow Maui Stay
The resort was everything we hoped it would be , and more. The grounds were extensive with multiple pools and the location of the property on Polo Beach was perfect. Restaurants are great (like other restaurants in Maui, they're pricey) , a good option if you have kids is the Market - ice cream and food ! The rooms are huge and recently renovated . At the end of it all , it is truly the staff that make the experience undeniably amazing. You can't go wrong staying here !

The Fairmont Kea Lani is truly a one-of-a-kind experience
The Fairmont Kea Lani is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. My family has been coming to the Fairmont for over 15 years. The location is great, convenient to the shops of Wailea and an easy drive to everything else on the island. The property is gorgeous and superbly maintained, we were amazed by all the meticulously maintained fauna. We stayed in an ocean front villa, and couldn't imagine a better retreat on Maui. The villas are beautiful, large, and literally steps from the Fairmont's private beach. But what makes the Fairmont truly special are the little attentions to detail that, if your looking for them, can be found everywhere. The staff? Wow. Everyone is so happy all the time, and completely invested in making your stay great and memorable. They certainly left a lasting impression on my family. Everyone we interacted with - the front desk team, the concierges, the waiters in the (5-star) restaurants, the spa, the pool attendants, the beach attendants, the valets and bellman - were truly remarkable. They all got the assignment on hospitality, and boy do they set the bar very, very, very high! It was a pleasure to meet and talk with every single one of them. I want to specifically call out Nicola, the front desk manager. He helped us with a challenge we had, and made it effortless - and always with warmth and kindness. The Fairmont is so much more than a hotel - it is an existential experience you will remember and cherish for a lifetime.

Not a 5 Star Experience.
My husband and I spent the first half of our 10-day Maui trip at the Fairmont. We were on the island for my 40th birthday and this was a special milestone celebration for us. Overall, I would not return here. The hotel is definitely not a 5-star experience and does not live up to the Fairmont branding. Would skip this and go to the Four Seasons, Andaz or Hotel Wailea. Pros: - Beautiful lobby and wonderful renovations -amazing valet team. Special shout out to Robert! -great location on the beach -Easy to secure beach chairs and umbrellas even during peak hours -spacious rooms and balconies Cons: -my husband ordered 2 cakes to arrive as surprises for my birthday. They never showed up. We were given a room credit as compensation but it wasn't reflected on our bill at checkout. Required a bit of back and forth to resolve at check out -check your bill very carefully. They tried to charge for valet, although it was included with our package. This again required some back and forth to resolve at check out -there was a gnat infestation in our room. Gnats all over the balcony door, in the living area, bathroom etc. They sprayed but the gnats persisted and eventually infiltrated the room fridge. So gross. They gave us cookies to apologize for the inconvenience -the rooms were recently refreshed but the age of the hotel still shows on the dated and rusted balcony doors -the bathroom was poorly cleaned. Long blonde hairs from prior guests in the tub and shower everything here has a silly up charge. It feels like you're being nickle and dimed. For example, they charge $10 to deliver DoorDash orders to your room -the food is mediocre and overpriced -the spa services are nice but the spa doesn't have the extras I'm accustomed to at this price point. All you get is a small steam room, warming bench and 3 rain showers. They should adjust the price for their services accordingly. That said, Jen gave me an amazing facial and would recommend visiting her, and the staff at the spa was lovely -impossible to get chairs by the pool as others have said and then even harder to get a server to help you. The pool staff was rude and uninviting. Because of this, we only visited the pool once -impossible to get service at the bars. Stood around for 10 minutes while a bartender chopped limes and ignored me. Bar wasn't busy. At. All. -there was a big conference while we were there, so dozens of folks milling about with name tags Bottom line: they just don't get it on service at a 5-star resort. Have stayed at other Fairmont resorts and never experienced this before. Was completely baffling to us.
