We booked poolside king rooms and ended up in a parking lot next to laundry and housekeeping who ironically never cleaned our rooms but blocked or walking path to the pool with their carts. Hotel said access to 4 pools and 7 restaurants but that was mis information because there is only 2 pools. And 2 open restaurants unless you include Starbucks. There is no open lobby and you will need to use the sister hotel lobby if you need anything. I give it a 2 only because of the location.

This hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds, facilities and our room was immaculate. The outside bartender was great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Key West. We will definitely be staying there again.

Fantastic service for a couple of oldsters
We spent a few days in the 24° North Hotel in Key West. The hotel has had a recent refurbishment, & it was done in an excellent fashion. The thing we liked best, though, was the unbelievable service we got on the phone from Anna Heredia in the business office. We had some questions about the charges which were applied to our credit card account after checkout. We called in, got Anna on the phone, & she diligently figured out what happened for us. In the process, she was courteous beyond words, knowledgeable, & extremely patient. She even took the time to walk me through a process on my computer to allow me to check our account myself. Any business that has people like Anna on their staff is definitely a good one. I would return to the 24° North for sure, based entirely on our experience with Anna.

The T and J experience a truly Sharp Connection ❤️❤️🐶🐶
My husband and I have gone there every year for anniversary. We actually got married and Key West on the beach. We knew nowhere where we could take our fur babies with us except for the gates. We couldn’t leave them out on our Wedding day At the time, JOSE CENTENO was just getting his. He was wonderful friendly. All the staff were great and we went in on a budget nowhere else in Key West. Could we afford to stay It breaks my heart to see people say such un- justified complaints. Perhaps they can widen their wallet and go somewhere else. Otherwise I will continue to come back to the gates hotel. It may be a bit older and not so new but isn’t that what we go to Key West for for old Key West, I will always think Jose for his kindness, courtesy and respect, always always and will continue to return to the gates hotel !

It is a Motel
It is a motel. Not a resort or hotel. It appears to be a “Motel 6” type motel that was acquired, and superficial changes were made in an attempt to make it look like a boutique hotel. The room smelled musty. There were numerous fees during our stay to include a mandatory “resort” fee and parking fee. They recommended their shuttle downtown for a fee that included a free drink at their bar. When we tried to use the free drink vouchers, we were told that the voucher did not cover the drinks we ordered which were their current drink specials. We brought sandwiches and soda to the pool, and we were told by an employee that no outside food or beverages are allowed. This motel is expensive. Use your money more wisely than I did and stay somewhere else.
