Apr 15, 2026Bogus Smoking Fee
Stayed 4 nights post cruise on our honeymoon. Neither I nor my wife have ever smoked or vaped. Yet we were charged $300 smoking fee. Time of the sensor alert coincided with shower and hair dryer; a false-positive. Appealed to hotel management and was told basically their sensor was never wrong, we smoked and the fee stands. (Don’t appreciate having my integrity questioned) Dealing with Hilton corporate now and considering class action lawsuit.

Apr 15, 2026Pre-Cruise and NHL Game
We stayed here prior to cruise leaving from the Port of Tampa. While there we also attended an NHL game. The hotel is a very quick walk to the arena. A free trolley stop is just outside the front entrance, which can be used to travel around the area, and does stop close to the port. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The pool area was a little dirty, and the pool does have some noticeable area in need of repair. The bathrooms were not always open during the pool operational hours. The included breakfast was great, many options, as well as an egg/omelet station. The on-site restaurant was convenient and food was excellent.

Optimal service all around!
From start to finish my visit was amazing! Justin went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. He took the time to meet my needs without hesitation. Steve was the best at breakfast his smile would light up a room and when he asked if we needed anything he got it done! The water pressure in our room was low and he made sure someone came right up and fixed it! Thank you Justin and Steve for showing true hospitality.

Fabulous hospitality
My colleague and I stayed at embassy suites Tampa downtown convention center for a conference nearby. Every single employer we crossed paths with during our 5 day stay was friendly and inquired about our stay. The room was clean and we were able to quickly get needed items - extra towels, etc. the breakfast spread was amazing - the space was clean and staff were attentive. An amazing perk for staying here - the cause for the breakfast and happy hour food was the best I have ever seen while traveling. During one breakfast Steve A. - the supervisor for breakfast - made his way around the dining room checking in with each table and asking for any feedback he could share to improve the experience while staying at Embassy Suites. That could be a difficult task and Steve was genuine and appreciated all feedback. Over the next few days, Steve sought us out to say hi and welcome us in for breakfast while recalling our previous interactions!
