I've stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It's always a convenient option being so close to the airport. The view of the planes arriving and leaving is always fun to watch. The hotel itself is well maintained and the amenities are always on point
Excellent stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport Waterfront
My husband and I stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport Waterfront for 6 weeks during October and November, 2022 to be near family. We enjoyed the hotel's two room suites, friendly staff, daily complimentary breakfasts and Happy Hours in addition to the good restaurant open at certain hours (clam chowder was outstanding!). We enjoyed being on the 9th floor watching planes descend to SFO landings. We also enjoyed the proximity right autside the hotel to the walkway along the San Francisco Bay..
The prince and princess and the pea
I had discomfort with the bed. It had sag in the middle and my partner and I could not sleep because it hurt our bodies because the bed was sunk in the middle and I have bad arthritis and also sciatic nerve as well as nerve pain in general. Secondly, the Internet kept going in and out and I had to keep rebooting so that was irritating and third the loud noise from people just shutting their doors. The doors have a way of slamming and it's makes a very loud noise you could hear it in your room. i'm not rating service since i received non due to having to request a room clean. I guess that was the policy since it was not mentioned at check in. Also the power went out, lights came on no tv for a while and no one notified us that the bar and food service was canceled. we ordered food online
Learn from me and DO NOT stay here
This is my first time leaving a review for a hotel. In fact, I pretty much never leave reviews for anything, but my stay at this hotel was just that awful. I read other reviews before booking but thought, "Hey, it looks alright! I'll give it a shot and hope for the best." Don't be like me. Bad things: 1. My room was SO HOT. Omg. So stuffy. No airflow or cross-ventilation whatsoever. The thermostat does nothing. It was set at 65 degrees, but the room was probably 10 degrees warmer. Hot air blows in through the air system and there's nothing you can do about it. Had to buy a desk fan from Ace Hardware just to have a shot at sleeping through the night. (Still woke up super sweaty, so that's fun.) 2. My room was gross. Dirty. Bathtub didn't drain, so after every shower, I'd be standing in three inches of soapy water. When it finally drained hours later, there was hair all over the tub. Unclear whether it was mine. 3. The fridge didn't work upon arrival. Warm inside. Requested replacement and it was handled quickly, but annoying since I had food in tow that I wanted to keep cold. 4. Staff does not seem to care one bit about any of it. I'm guessing they get so many complaints daily that it's just white noise at this point, but the attitude is like they think it's a luxury hotel. (Which HAHAHA it's 100% not.) 5. Everything is so dated. I'm not the kind of person to really care about that, but the furniture is soiled and everything just feels gross. Whole entire place needs a major facelift. Good things: 1. The microwave worked. An in-room microwave was one of the reasons I chose this hotel (sounds silly but it's true). Feels like a miracle that it had no issues. 2. The workout room was pretty good! Seems like the Peloton bike wasn't working (surprise), but the other spin bike plus three ellipticals, two treadmills, a cable crossover machine, and free weights were modern and in good condition. Another miracle. 3. The indoor pool was warm and pretty. Got kinda packed at night, but what can you do. All things considered, I've no idea how Hilton lets this place operate as is. I will never stay here again. You shouldn't either.
Old sad hotel
Currently staying here, room is in bad shape, furniture all chipping bathroom mold, bath tub chipping no place to hang your bath towel. Breakfast was good, restaurant person rude, I stated 2 kids nuggets to go ($17 each) I left with two grandkids to my room husband stayed for food, bartender said I never said to go??? I clearly left with kids, arguing with my husband. Kevin fix your place. We will certainly call the diamond desk with major health complaints
