Mar 25, 2026Disappointing stay – not 5★ and not suitable for a special occasion
Disappointing stay – not 5★ and not suitable for a special occasion We booked El Dorado through TUI to celebrate our daughter’s 20th birthday – a three-generation holiday for three women. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we had hoped for. We stayed in two rooms (a swim-up pool room and a garden view room). Both were in very poor condition and certainly not what I would consider 5-star standard. The rooms were sparse and dated, with visible wear and tear – including exposed wires and fixtures coming away from the walls. An iron in our room even fell apart whilst in use. That said, the rooms were clean, and the housekeeping team were consistently excellent. The same applies to the public toilet areas, which were well maintained throughout – this was definitely a positive. Our room (3806) was incredibly noisy, which made it difficult to relax. The general atmosphere of the resort felt chaotic at times. Guests were setting alarms for 5am to reserve sunbeds with towels, often not returning to them until much later in the day. There was a lot of excessive drinking, and the overall environment didn’t feel particularly refined – more like forced entertainment and party culture than a luxury experience. Food quality was disappointing overall. The Seaside Market breakfast buffet was probably the best option and was reasonable. However, other dining experiences were poor – we left the Japanese restaurant as the food was not of an acceptable standard. Staff were mixed – some were polite and helpful, but others came across as quite rude, which impacted the experience. We also felt there was a lack of attention to detail. This was booked as a special birthday celebration, and nothing was done to acknowledge that, which was disappointing. Overall, this hotel does not reflect a 5-star standard, and I do feel it has been mis-sold by TUI. Sadly, we would not return.

We had the most amazing girls trip for our spring break. Pre arrival was amazing at setting up everything we needed for our trip. The food and drinks were great, Klay Tlay is a must and definitely try the spring rolls. We had the best time with our AMAZING butlers, Victor, Angel, and Carlos. If you are visiting you must request them. They were extremely responsive, welcoming, and attentive. They handled all our reservations, picked us up from every location, got us everything we could have needed in our rooms, and check on us frequently. We looked forward to seeing them every morning and they truly made our stay so special and we will miss them!! I can say our trip would not have been the same without them! Benjamin and Luna were so much fun at the pool games, volleyball, and karaoke. We had so much fun and will definitely be back!

Second Visit to Mexico
Stayed here for 2 weeks with Friends. Had an amazing time. Hotel was great, loads to do if you want or just chill. Food was great with lots of choice. Staff are amazing. Rooms are spacious and really well kept. Large complex so sometimes need the golf buggies to take you places. Seaweed is an issue but the lads work on it all day. Special mention to Luana who kept us entertained.

Excellent staff......especially the Gym Team
We had an excellent two weeks here at Eldorada Suites. Couldn't really fault anything from start to finish. Although we had a total chill we also still like to exercise whilst on holiday. The gym staff were so friendly and chatty and always happy to give advice on everything. Special mention goes to Luana and Leandro who are a credit to El Dorado. Outwith the gym all staff were excellent particularly Daphne from the concierge team, nothing ever being any trouble for her. When travelling such a distance we wouldn't normally go back to the same place however would definitely be back here.

First time at El Dorado seaside/palms
First time here and we were mind blown. We have traveled to Mexico many times and the food, the staff, the location, rooms, all the amenities were 10/10. Really a hidden gem at this place. We actually stayed at the Palms Side vs the Seaside which didn’t matter because you can enjoy both. We plan on coming back in a few months. Hopefully every year after that because the people here really made the trip. It’s very safe and clean. Loved the Mezcal bar and the ladies making fresh tortillas everyday. I also loved how they have pop ups everywhere of drink stands to go along with whatever theme was going on.
