Kinks to work on
I just came back from a stay at El Dorado Seaside and while the resort was beautiful and the food was amazing, I would not return to this resort or recommend it to others. The resort caters to weddings and their members and doesn't have the resources to take care of the other paying guests. The people who work at the front desk were unpleasant and unhelpful to deal with. I arrived with 2 friends and was not offered a beverage of any type, the front desk person raised his hand to us and told us he was busy, and were not given a map or explanation of the resort. We were put in a room with 1 bed which was not what we had reserved. We were very rudely told that we were moved rooms due to a wedding but that we could pack our stuff up the next day, keep it with us for 3 hours before moving into our original room. We were finally able to get a roll away and blind in the window by the rollaway (there was no covering on the window) after talking to a manager the next day who could not believe that wasn't offered in the beginning. Any future dealings with the front desk were so uncomfortable as they would say, Yes we know your room in a rude tone when we tried to let them know that our phone was ringing and beeping and when we tried to check out. At check out, they said we had spa charges when we did not and 15 minutes later when it was discovered that the spa made a mistake, there was no apology or anything but a sneer. The resort itself is stunning. There are so many areas so that it never felt crowded even though it was at capacity. The bali beds and service on the beach were amazing touches, The staff were friendly and so helpful. My friend has a food allergy and every restaurant worked so hard to make sure that there were no issues. The beach was the best that I've been at in Mexico with some fun snorkeling. The More Inclusive was amazing and we really enjoyed the Catamaran cruise. The entertainment was fun with a stellar fire show, foam party and silent disco. The room service food and service were so good The food was amazing but difficult to get. At the event nights, many of the stations were empty and were not refilled during the event. If you did not have a private table, you did not get guacamole at the Mexican event. The two restaurants that you could make reservations at were amazing but did not know that it would take 2-3 hours to eat as the restaurants could not keep up with the demand. For the other restaurants, you would go to the door and give your name, Two nights in a row we were told an hour and a half wait. We expected this so we checked in halfway through the time as we enjoyed a beverage. When it was our time to eat, we were told that due to the members that had made reservations we would not be able to eat before closing. So then we would be scrambling trying to find a place to eat around 9 after starting around 7. The barbeque, Sandwicherie, Driftwood, and vegan place were so good during the day that we really wished that there could be something like that open at night. I hope that the resort can work out these customer service and logistic issues as the resort itself is truly beautiful!

Awesome hotel! I'll be back!
For me, there aren’t enough stars for this place. I’ve been to about 30 all-inclusives over the years in Mexico, Cuba, DR and Barbados, and this one is incredible. The transfer is not bad, about 1 hr from either Tulum or Cancun airports. Private cars can be hired for $150USD one-way. The hotel is built among a dense tropical forest, and the grounds are well kept, and lush with huge butterflies, colourful birds, coatis, racoons and monkeys. The staff is professional and attentive. You’ll see in other reviews of all the staff saying ‘Hola’ as you pass, and this is true, and a very nice touch that makes you feel welcome and shows their attentiveness. We stayed on the Palms side and preferred the quieter, more lush complexes, yet there are many swim-up bars for those wanting some more social interaction. There are hammocks and swings abound for lounging. You can get a cart drive around the complex, but everything is within a 15 min walk if you’re able. The Palms side is also closer to most of the restaurants, the sports bar, the entertainment, the beach, and the beach BBQ. If you’re more into the huge, loud swim-up bar with activities, the Seaside Suites side would be more suited. I did not, however, ever see anyone take advantage of the swim-out pools on the higher floors as they are small and closely connected to the adjoining rooms. We would simply go pass the afternoon at the big party pool, then return to the Palms for the evenings. The food in both the buffet and restaurants is excellent. We managed to get some reservations to the restaurants for most nights, but when we couldn’t we were sometimes accommodated. There were still a few restaurants we didn’t get to check out, as there are so many. Another nice touch is the room service included. Accessible through an App, you can get a great selection of food 24 hrs. This is nice for the rainy days, late nights or on the evenings when you prefer to stay in and rest. There are, as always, those rude travelers that wake early to ‘reserve’ chairs and day beds, but there were enough that we could always find one if we arrived later in the morning. There are a few that are reserved for members, but there are enough available if you’re willing to walk a little further down the beach. The ocean is shallow and warm, and there are small piers or reefs where you can snorkel to find an abundance of fish and shells. Staff change all outdoor bedding nightly in an incredible display of cleanliness. The washrooms on the complex are also cleaned and stocked regularly, something I never realized how much I appreciated until this trip. There is no ‘disco’ or nightly touring show that you get at other resorts (eg. Michael Jackson, Broadway etc.). The hotel put on a different professional show each night on the beach, and had musicians play in the earlier part of the evening, and a very good DJ playing dance music from 11-1. Activities, extras and excursions are expensive, but available for those that want to get a massage or a private dinner. Our group was so satisfied with the variety of the resort, there was no need for any extras or to leave the resort. I will definitely be back! See you soon!

We love vacationing at this resort!
My wife and I stayed at the Seaside Palms Resort late October to early November 2024 (2 weeks). We love vacationing at this resort! Even with the recent hurricanes and storms that caused closure of a couple of the buildings, the grounds still looked amazing! The staff, including cleaning and ground maintenance staff, were always friendly and helpful even if it was just a passing “hola” greeting. We want to give a special thanks to the following staff members that made our stay even more enjoyable (and prevented me from experiencing a sesame allergic reaction!): to our “butlers” Arturo and Julian; games coordinators Angel and Alexandro (you win some, you lose some); restaurant hosts/hostesses Jordy (Klay Talay), Lorena (Driftwood), Ingrid (Mia Casa), and Gaudelope (Seaside Market); restaurant servers Gabriel (La Carreta), Margarita (The Culinarium), Renan (Klay Talay), Juan (Mia Casa) and the poolside bartender Miguel for introducing us to some new and very tasty cocktails and our server Alicia at Mescalitos! A very special thanks goes to Adriana who took us through daily sessions of yoga and a couple of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training); even though we were there for r&r, these sessions were a welcome change to the daily routine of eating and drinking and hanging around the pool! We were a bit disappointed with our first meal at the La Carreta (Mexican cuisine) but they had changed their menu the second week we were there and the menu choices, and food, was much better! Other than that, the food was great and many activities to partake in if you so desire! We’ll be definitely going back to this resort!

Incredible Vacation
This vacation was AMAZING. My husband and I came here for rest and relaxation and it was everything we could have imagined. We were nervous based on some of the reviews but honestly everything was perfect. The food, the service, the grounds, rooms etc. It was so romantic. Special shoot to Lizabeth our concierge, Luis who is the absolute best and was so much fun at Beachvolley ball and Gerard at The Restaurant Pier. If you're considering coming here DO IT!!!!!!

Beautiful hotel
Hotel rooms and grounds are stunning and well kept. Bed at home is a super king and this one is even bigger. Having a jacuzzi in your room is so nice. Grounds and rooms are sprayed for mosquitoes. Housekeeping and mini bars are done daily. Entertainment activities are brilliant. Rifle shooting, painting, aqua aerobics, functional training. To name a few. Food is very tasty and will suit everyone. Octopus, burgers, pizzas tacos, sushi. Excursions from here are superb but expensive. But alcohol all except wine is super watered down. I’m not even sure if there is any alcohol in many of the drinks. At home my tolerance is so low there is no way I could drink 6 cocktails and shooters and be fine. Also tipping is a must. Tip before you get the service or you might not get it
