Mar 29, 2026El Dorado Royale: You will not be disappointed!
El Dorado Royale is an amazing gourmet all-inclusive resort for many reasons! By plane it is a mere 3.5-4.0 hour flight from Minnesota to Cancun, Mexico, and within a 30-35 minute shuttle drive from the airport you have arrived in paradise. One of the reasons we continue returning to this resort is first and foremost its staff. The butlers, concierges, wait staff, shuttle drivers, bartenders, grounds keepers, housekeeping, etc., really do their best to make your stay an enjoyable one. Although we have visited this resort on several occasions, it was the first time we had the pleasure of meeting ANGELES VERA, who served as our Butler; the level of service she provided us was nothing short of excellent! From the time you arrive to the time you depart you are able to enjoy: (1) the beautiful grounds (the resort is approximately 1 mile long and can be enjoyed by walking or hopping on the golf carts which can shuttle you to where you want to be) (2) amazing food at restaurants with themes ranging from Mexican ;-), Italian, Mediterranean, Asian, Indian to some more casual that offer pizza/burgers, etc. There are some buffet options, but for dinners most require reservations and provide a pleasant dining experience. You will not be hungry given all the options available during your stay and even includes 24-hour room service (3) on-site there are two spa locations with many services from which to choose (4) activities during the day and evening are yours to be enjoyed, or not . . . always a personal choice. (5) Lomas Travel provides representatives on-site for scheduling excursions in the area as well as for some of the added 'more inclusive' activities that are included at no additional cost. We took advantage of the Catamaran/Snorkeling experience that is located at the Maroma Marina which includes a short bus ride to and from the marina with food and beverages included. We cannot wait until our next visit!

This trip was just amazing for so many reasons! The food was fantastic and people just loved on us! Imelda, Luis, Gaby, and Adriana. Edgar at Fuentes is always teaching us something new about Mexico cuisine! We always meet new people and make new friends!

Wonderful Attention
Our most recent trip to Eldorado Royale combined new adventures with the same impeccable attention from our butlers. Montse, Fernanda and Cuau took very good care of our party of 4. They engaged with us; entertained us; explored with us; and taught us all about the Alux that live on the property. This was our first time with Montse, Fernanda and Cuau and they all showed the same professionalism and hospitality to us that all of our previous butlers have shown us. Truly a wonderful place and wonderful hosts.

I'm a foodie. This did not disappoint. Very large complex, easy to walk and golf shuttles if u like. They have buffets but also menu restaurants for all the three main meals of the day. Food way very good. Service at restaurants very good. Rooms quite dated but functional. Pools were good. Beach lovers this is not for you. My dislikes were the fact that to book the a la cart restaurants, they only had late seatings for people who were at this part of the resort.. There are three resorts in one. Earliest was usually 9 pm.. Entertainment was from there so hard to do a decent dinner and see the entertainment. They give priority earlier reservations to the "Generations part" . That and the fact that for our week there, we only had drink service at the pool two times.. I think for how full the loungers were (good luck getting one if you dont put your towel on early in the morning). there should of been more service by the pools.

Amazing location. My room with the pool and jacuzzi was really relaxing. The guys with the karts that pick you up from your room are really polite.
