Beautiful property, wonderful entertainment and amazing food! We tried every restaurant and had amazing food at each. The beach is some of the softest, white sand we’ve ever been on. The daily activities and evening entertainment were so fun. Osvaldo, Alex, Mafer, Mauricio, DJ Chris, & Jerik were all amazing with providing lots of fun activities and music every day. We will definitely be back!

The price is right and the entertainment staff were great!
Wonderful resort. Fun but not too crazy! Smaller resort but every part of the resort is for you. I always feel like I only use a small part of big resorts. Here, you feel at home no matter where you are on the resort. Excellent staff to take care of you all through the day. Don’t want to be a bump on a log for 7 days straight? I really appreciated Mafer, Osvaldo, DJ Chris, Jerik, and Alex from the entertainment staff keeping us moving and having fun in paradise! Water aerobics, crafts, volleyball, kayaking and more! Beautiful beach. 2 breakfast options and 2 lunch options. 4 dinner options. No buffet. All with delicious dishes. Coffee station with sandwiches, ice cream scoops, and espresso all day. Tacaría 12-5 (stop in repeatedly and often). Stayed in a beautiful ocean front room with outdoor shower and indoor hot tub. Central but fun entertainment option each evening. Was reset to immaculate each day. I’ve stayed at bigger name resorts for more and received less than I did here. Was very happy with the pricing before we went, and even happier with the pricing after I experienced the place!

Amazing hotel… fantastic staff
This was our third El dorado hotel…. This time Maroma beach. It is only around 150 rooms… so very small but great service! Staff is very attentive. We enjoyed the restaurants in this order: from best to least ( although least was VERY good): 1. Caribbean Grill- everything was fantastic! 2. Oriental- there is no Japanese show but nice variety of oriental good. Wonton soup had little flavor 3. Mexican- two of us had stomach problems after the same appetizer…. But nice food 4 Italian…. Normally our favorite at most all inclusive… this was very good. Minestrone soup was just ok! Excellent premium bar…. Including Grey Goose and Belwedere vodka’s…. Great gin variety…. Extensive tequila…. Plus nice whiskeys and bourbons. Staff: in the Limone restaurant- Eliseo was the best! He always had a smile on his face. Other great staff included the sports/activity staff: Mafer was great, as was Osualcb, Alex, Dj Ghris, Mauricio, and Jerik! They made the day full of activities to enjoy. The nightlife is quiet… I had a great time at the silent dance party… where 3 Dj’s play music at the same time and people listen thru headphones! Sounds silly but was great!! People loved Ricks night bar… I never went! Not so good of the resort…. Nothing really! We did encounter a 5 ft salt water crocodile one afternoon in the Caribbean Sea…. So be alert!! I guess the mangroves next to the hotel provides that concern!! One other…. We booked thru delta vacations and requested a room with 2 double beds… when we arrived- we were told the resort only has king beds! This was a bit strange for 2 guys to share the same bed!!! Overall…. Great resort….. would strongly consider returning!!!

We traveled as a group of 12 couples to Maroma Beach in February 2026 and overall had an amazing time. This resort is absolutely beautiful — the beach is stunning, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and the entire property feels intimate and romantic. The staff clearly take pride in caring for the grounds, and it shows in every detail. I would highly recommend it for couples or very small groups. Highlights The rooms were beautiful and we truly had not one complaint. They were cleaned multiple times daily and consistently felt fresh and comfortable. The entertainment staff made our trip 10/10. Alex, DJ Chriss, Osualdo, Mafer, Jerick, and Mauricio were top notch — energetic, engaging, and so much fun. They kept us active with beach and pool volleyball, aqua aerobics, and daily activities that made the days fly by. The food and drinks were excellent across the board. Our group’s favorite was the Caribbean Grill — everything we ordered there was outstanding. Francisco at the Mio Pool Bar was hands down the best bartender, and the two bartenders at the swinging beach bar were equally fantastic. The included catamaran excursion was a fun bonus outing. Overall service throughout the resort was smooth and efficient. While the beach did have some sargassum during our stay, the staff worked tirelessly each day to clean and tidy it. That is simply Mother Nature and not something to hold against the resort. Their effort did not go unnoticed. Areas for Improvement While we were told the resort could accommodate our group of 12, dining together was a challenge at times. We typically prefer later dinner reservations, while many guests tend to eat earlier. When we arrived, the restaurants were often quieter and there appeared to be room where we could have been seated together, but we were still split up or given limited options. We also experienced a reservation issue. We had a confirmed 7:30 PM dinner reservation, but when we arrived we were told it had been changed to 6:00 PM without notification. We were then asked to show photo proof of our confirmation. Better communication would have prevented the inconvenience. Check-in took quite a while. It would have been helpful if paperwork and room assignments were prepared ahead of time, especially for a larger party. On our first night at dinner, certain dishes were not disclosed as an additional charge, nor were they marked on the menu. Each couple was charged $150 unexpectedly, which felt disappointing and avoidable with clearer communication. The wait staff were always kind and polite, but service sometimes felt more transactional than warm or highly attentive. A little more enthusiasm would have elevated the dining experience even further. Final Thoughts Despite a few hiccups, we truly had a fantastic trip. The beauty of the resort, outstanding grounds care, quality of food and drinks, and especially the exceptional bartenders and entertainment staff made it unforgettable. I would absolutely return — but next time with a smaller group to better fit the resort’s intimate atmosphere. Highly recommend for couples looking for a beautiful, adults-only getaway.
