VERY disappointing experience
The place is an overpriced dump. Lobby is a dirty sauna type entrance. Pool was dirty, cloudy. We would not get in. Room was tiny with a small window unit AC that kept the room about 80 humid degrees. Bathroom was too small and fogged up your entire unit. Customer service was nonexistent. Staff couldn’t care less. We’d booked for three nights but left after one. Has parking for about 3-4 cars so unlikely you’ll get a space. Upon checking out and complaining about false advertising the guy at front desk just grunted and walked off. Is not close to anything without a long walk thru a bad part of town. Take your $$$ and stay at the Hyatt.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
VERY BAD experience. My Wife and I stayed three nights from May 18th thru May 20th. For $437 each night (includes taxes) we received the following: 1) 8 ½ by 10 ft single room with a wash basin but no place to put cloths except three small wall mounted cubes, and a tiny shower/toilet in a separate very small area – the old room looked nothing like the website picture; 2) the room air conditioner was never able to take the room temperature below 82 degrees, mostly over 90; 3) the TV required two visits over the next two days to get it to work; 3) The water temp on the shower took 14 minutes to go from cold to barely lukewarm, it never got even moderately hot; 4) First day we asked for two more towels more then the two that were provided, and never got them. On the final night at approx. 6;30pm we asked the front desk to do something about the air conditioning, but when we returned to the room at 8:30 the temp had risen to over 90 degrees and when we stated the problem again, were told the air conditioner would be replaced after we left the next day. Subsequently the front desk spoke to the owner (Lisa) who said they would move us to another room, and that the “Owner would be glad to talk to us if we called her”. We were too frustrated to move all our stuff to another room and left the next morning but called the owner at the number provided by the front desk but the owner did not answer or return our call to the name and number we left, and it has been four more days and still no return call, what a coward! Lastly, A month before arrival we found the room rate was significantly reduced on their website, by 50% by the time of arrival – when we called, the Eden House said, “that is the risk you take and there was nothing they would do about it”.
The pool deck and bar areas are really cool. My husband loved the hot tub. The room was on the smaller side but very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. One star off because they initially gave us smaller room than we had booked and we were not happy there. But, the second day the moved us to another room. It's a bit of a walk to the seaport and Duval Street, but we didn't mind.
Overpriced Closet Of A Room
My room was $625 a night total. Others who recently booked paid far less. No closet, drawers or flat place for bag. Toilet and shower opened into room. Claustrophobic. Cable tv was limited and frequently went out. Pool and hot tub nice.
Eden house. Aptly names for key west paradise
This was my husband and my third trip to key west. Second time we’ve stayed with Eden House. The property location is great. We didn’t have or need a car. Walking distance to everywhere and if we wanted they offer bikes for competitive rates. The property itself is very clean and beautifully maintained with plants and cozy spots to hang out All rooms do not have private bath ours did. There is a deck that wraps around so we had access to it from our room. There is also a tiki bar by the pool but almost hidden in the garden. The pool was perfect temp with water feature The hot tub was great to relax in as well Most of the people we saw were adult couples. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely go back for a third time Rates are comparable to location
