Nov 30, 2025Great value on the Riverwalk!
This hotel is a great value for the money! The staff is friendly & accommodating. I appreciate the nightly cleaning, which has become a rarity. We used the roof top pool & gym areas, which are nice. The location is perfect! We walked right onto the riverwalk every morning. We really enjoyed watching the San Antonio River Parade from the restaurant area. The staff welcomed guests for the event & turned it into a comfortable & fun watch party.

Hotel staff was amazing. Great breakfast and amazing happy hour. Hotel and rooms were very nice but are due for a remodel.

Best Hotel for our Family
The Drury Inn and Suites San Antonio Riverwalk is a wonderful place to stay when visiting down town San Antonio. While the Drury Plaza is nice, we like that you can park your own vehicle and come and go easily, and do not need to use a valet service . Not to mention all the other perks when staying at a Drury Hotel, like their breakfast and Kick Back meals and drinks at dinner time. We choose Drury Hotels every time!

This hotel has pluses and minuses. On the pluses, it's moderately priced for the riverwalk. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. With this moderate price, the best amenity is the included breakfast and early evening meals. The included 3 per person adult beverage at the evening meal is ok but the mixed drinks are VERY light on the pour. The food selections were good. And in the evening it seems nachos and hotdogs are always included alongside whatever other food is provided. The breakfast is your standard hotel breakfast buffet. The only thing missing the day i went done for it was fresh cut fruit. I feel this amenity is mostly what drives the 4.5 rating for this hotel because the rooms themselves are just average. The lobby looks modern, refreshed and new. The upper floors look tired and worn. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced because, while it appeared to be clean, it's very drab. The carpet in our room was the same. The bathroom in our room was also in need of an update. The tub/shower combo was dated. I prefer a walk in shower but a rub/shower combo is fine. This was however really old because of the narrow width of the tub. Not a larger tub you see in newer hotels if they have them. The other issue with the bathroom. At one point the water flow steadiky decreases to a literal trickle. I was very concerned about how I was going to get the conditioner out of my hair. But the water flow steadily increased and I had no further problems. Water temp was great. The best thing about our room was the mattress. Normally hotel mattresses are rock hard. This one was softer but not plush. I dont think it was age that made the mattress soft because there was no "body-ditches" or lumps in it. It was just a nice mattress and allowed me some good sleep. The AC in the room worked great which if you go to San Antonio in the summer you know you'll want/need a great AC. The people who worked there were nice and friendly. Oh! I almost forgot the parking garage. The parking garage is a good/bad situation. It was built for a different time when cars were smaller. I drive a standard 3rd row SUV...nothing huge like a suburban or excursion. The garage is supposed to be 2-way up and down butvthere is no way 2 cars could safely pass each other in this garage. The inline spaces are so tight that i coulsnt park in them. I had to go up the garage to find an empty end space. And my mom had to get out of the car before I could back in. Forget pulling in head first because you'd likely be doing Austin Powers trying to back out. BUT the good thing is you are parked in an access controlled covered and attached garage rather than trying to find street parking or a public lot. The $23 per day parking fee was worth it to me for the peace of mind that me and my car were safe. I would stay here again if I found myself in San Antonio bear the riverwalk again.

Quiet rooms great evening meal/drink gathering
From check in to checkout we had a fantastic stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet as well as the evening meal/drink gathering was also great and had exceptional staffing. The room was very quiet and the only thing I can recommend is new pillows. The ones we had were pretty flat but room was clean and housekeeping was also great. Wifi worked well. Would definitely stay here again.
