Dec 29, 2025DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
DISAPPOINTING: Compared to past stays, the interior of the hotel has gotten shabby. The walls are banged up, the carpet was filthy with lots of stains, and the free food in the lobby, especially in the evening, was lousy. We reserved adjoining rooms. One room was supposed to have 2 queen beds, but they were just full-sized beds which was a problem since the beds were being shared. I will not stay there again.

Romantic. Clean, Great staff. There is a free breakfast and evening fare, if you can stomach it. The hot tub is small, cool and not clean in December. Those are my two small complaints. Everything else was perfect. It's so nice to walk out of the hotel and be in the Riverwalk.

Consistently good!
We are Drury Rewards members and big Drury fans. The Drury Hotels are very underrated but in our experience over the years we have found them to be well managed and maintained, and undoubtedly a great value. This Drury on the SA Riverwalk is one we have stayed in numerous times over the years and will keep coming back. Historic building, great location, above average food offerings, and the daily parking rate in the parking garage is well below average for downtown San Antonio. All good!

The location on the Riverwalk is great, easy to get anywhere. The breakfast selections are numerous, hot, cereal, waffles, etc. The staff do an excellent job keeping the food coming! The 5:30 Kickback is great, 3 alcoholic beverages per night, hot food choices, baked potatoes, salad, nachos, lots of choices. Our terrace room on the sixth floor was spacious, however needs refreshing/ modernized bathroom fixtures, mattress that allows two people to move in the bed without jostling the other person, etc. The carpets throughout the hotel are stained and could use updating. The staff are super nice and accommodating.

Great Staff but needs to be remodeled.
We moved to Tx. 5 years ago and started staying at Druy Inn hotels in Frankenmuth Mich. The staff here as in Mich. are really nice. My biggest concern with Riverwalk location is that it really needs to be remodeled. The common areas walls wall paper is damaged. The carpet is thining. The furniture in the rooms need to be replaced. We walked through many other hotels along the Riverwalk and they where much more updated.
