Dec 24, 2025Relaxing holiday, we were spoiled
This time we upgraded to preferred club. Yacaira was our concierge. Lovely lady, and very professional. Kept in touch on whatsapp, and checked in with us on the beach. Our maid, Maria Rosario, another caring lady who also took excellent care of us. Room identical to previous trip, but located in preferred section bldg 4. Bldgs 4 and 5 are in older area, closer to beach. Both have some preferred club rooms. All rooms, regardless of category, are well maintained. Bldgs 6 and 7 are in new preferred club area, inland, across the lagoon. That whole area opened Feb 2024. Connected to older part of resort by bridge over lagoon. Walk across it and enjoy the birds, turtles etc. Or take a golf cart. Nice beach, plenty of palapas and trees. Never a problem finding chairs. Beach cabanas rent for $225, from 10:00 to 5:00. Renovations to lobby, cafe etc completed. Gym still under construction. Oceana seafood restaurant is no more. In it's place is french. Buffet was much improved, due to new chef. Everyone was polite and friendly. Was nice to reconnect with familiar faces. Our driver from/to the airport was Juan Carlos from Destination Services. A man of few words, he was polite, professional, and an excellent driver. If you would like a delicious and refreshing drink, see Dolores at grotto bar. Ask her to make you her secret recipe, tiki tiki. We very much enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

Perfect tropical spot for family fun
We stayed at the Dream Royal Beach for 5 nights and had one of the most relaxing and fun vacations. The resort is an excellent planned resort with a completely tropical look throughout, filled with palm trees all over the resorts, which immediately give it a fun and relaxing vibe the moment you step foot on the resort grounds. There are plenty of pool chairs, beds and even hammocks to relax by the pool side as well as on the beach. The restaurants don't need any reservations but we never had to wait for a long time and were accommodated for a max of 5 mins or so for dinner, which was much better than what we expected. The service is top notch and so are the facilities in the resort. There are enough food options to keep everyone happy and the drinks keep flowing endlessly. The water park just adds to the list of activities in the resort. The night entertainment programs were top notch and it was difficult to find an empty chair for those. Better grab a seat early if you want to relax with a drink for the entire program. All in all, the entire experience was great and helped create a lot of fond memories for our family!!

Still here and 5 nights into our 8 night stay. Overall a decent all inclusive. Pros: resort grounds are very nice. Lots of beach chairs and no reservations is great. Vibe team is also fun and the shows are great. Cons: we have two rooms and they have only been cleaned once in 5 days. Housekeeping is still in the hallways at 9 pm. Food is average. Not bad/not great. Service at the pool and beach are slow compared to other resorts.

I would highly NOT recommend Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana due to extremely poor customer service and lack of compassion. A trip was booked on our credit card by an unauthorized person, without our knowledge or permission. As soon as we became aware, we immediately canceled the reservation the same day. We fully explained the situation to both Dreams Royal Beach and Expedia. Although Expedia indicated they needed the hotel’s approval to cancel or make any exception, the general manager at Dreams refused to work with us in any way. Not only did they deny a refund for a trip we did not book, but they also refused to reinstate the 8-day reservation, meaning we couldn’t even use the stay ourselves if we wanted to. We are now out over $4,500 due to circumstances completely beyond our control. There was zero flexibility, no empathy, and no effort to help resolve what was clearly a case of fraud. For an “all-inclusive luxury resort,” this level of customer service is unacceptable. If something goes wrong—even something you didn’t cause—don’t expect this resort to help. Awful experience and terrible customer service.

Enjoyed our family trip to Dreams Royal Beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility was clean. Food was great. Views were great. Will visit again.
