Our family (two parents, three college-age children) had a great four-day vacation. We were worried because we had heard about others' bad experiences at other Punta Cana resorts. Everything went smoothy. Check-in and check-out was easy and took only a few minutes. We had no problems with water, food, or insect bites. The seaweed on the beach was minimal in December and what little was left was cleared by 7 AM each morning. The rooms and facilities were extremely clean, although I did catch a anole (or something similar) who snuck in one night! The staff were cheerful and always helpful. Most staff speak some English so communication was pretty easy, although several times we asked for Diet Cokes and received strawberry daiquiris (an upgrade). The grounds are extensive with many quiet areas, family-focused areas, and slightly louder areas with music. However, the vibe was mostly peaceful and relaxing. We spent an hour borrowing the pedal boats and took great pictures with the iguanas. We also spent a lot of time on the beach. Because we went during the school year, the only children present were toddlers and preschoolers and there were not many. The adults who attended this resort spanned all ages: young couples in their 20s or 30s, middle-age folks like us, and a few retirees in their 60s and 70s. Our family enjoyed trying the various tropical drinks, but we are not heavy drinkers. We went every night to the 9 PM show in the main pavilion. All shows were outstanding, especially the Queen tribute band and the guitarists. We thought the food in the restaurants was very good to exceptional. The restaurant staff were extremely attentive to dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten free). We were always asked if anyone had restrictions and that person was issued a card that was placed at the table. However, the buffet food was not clearly labeled. If you have severe allergies (e.g., celiac disease), you can order fresh eggs and take fruit from the buffet, but most of the other buffet foods seem cross-contaminated. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this resort to others.

Great time
Great experience at the resort for our vow renewal, after getting married there 15 years ago when it was Now Larimar. Food was hit or miss at times, but really good when it was a hit. Staff were amazing and helpful, variety of things to do, great vacation spot.

Family trip 2025
We spent Dec 11-18th for wedding and we are truly impressed with the service and hospitality at Dreams Royal Beach. Mayker was out concierge, and we cannot say enough good things about him. His communication and efforts to accommodate our requests were superseded. We will be returning next year

Very beautiful hotel with amazing staff, including our butler Jose. The food was fairly good for the DR and our room in the preferred new section was lovely. Special shout out to Marilyn on the shuttle buses. (She's a sweetheart) I do recommend bug spray, and one family member got a bad rash that didnt go away .
