Just got back from Dreams Onyx in Punta Cana! It was the most amazing experience we’ve had! The resort was so beautiful and clean! All the staff were tremendous and so welcoming and nice, especially our Butler Starlings. We truly appreciated all the assistance he gave us this week from reserving the cabana, helping with dining times and surprising us for our anniversary! Ivette from ULA was a sweetheart and extremely knowledgeable making us part of the family at Dreams! A few more shout outs for our servers at the Cabana “Agata”Dani and Rivera at the beach/cabana and Eliphet was very kind and always had a drink ready for us at our swim up pool!! You all went above and beyond our expectations! You are all truly wonderful with a tremendous work ethic! Thank you again for everything you did for us!! 🥰 We really hate leaving this beautiful place behind!! The Collins’

Amazing vacation!
Beautiful resort, amazing people! We spent a week here and it was paradise. Beach and the resort itself were perfect, and the hospitality of the team working is unmatched. Go and enjoy! Special shout out to Anthony - best bartender around! Make sure to visit him at the waterpark bar, he was so kind to our family and made our trip memorable. 10/10!!!!!!!

Great family friendly resort
We just returned from a great trip to Dreams Onyx. Our 7 year old loved the resort. We booked a preferred swim out and would do that again. We also booked a cabana on the beach and really enjoyed that. Service was wonderful all around and food was actually quite good for an all inclusive- as long as you have the right expectations for all inclusive food. But really pleasantly surprised! The beach was really well kept and service was well done everywhere we went. Special shout out to Josue, our butler, who made our trip very easy and extra special.

Mar 28, 2026Enjoyable Stay with Some Disappointments
The resort overall was nice. This was our first time in the Dominican and may be our last. The staff were okay, but could have been friendlier. The bar staff were fine, but walking through didn’t have the usual vibe you’d expect compared to other Hyatt properties. In terms of food, avoid the Italian and especially the American restaurants. The meals we had at the Italian restaurant did not taste edible at all and smelled spoiled. The service at the American restaurant was subpar. We waited about 15 minutes for our incorrect drink order, then another 90 minutes for our meal, which arrived cold. We ended up leaving at that point. However, all the other restaurants were great.
- AdvisoryStudent Groups (Spring Breakers) are not permitted at Hotel. A student group consist of those that travel without parent supervision or a responsible adult in each room.
