    Great Family Experience at Dreams Onyx!

    Awesome family resort. More things for kids to do than we even realized when we booked! We travelled with 3 adults and 3 kids (12, 11 and 8) and they were entertained the entire time! We walked the beach each day and our beach was by far the best kept beach among the resorts we walked past! The daily pool parties with games and music were a HIT with our kids, never an issue getting a lounger on the beach or pool area. The lazy river and waterslides were great too. Almost all staff can speak key words of English (most can speak much more than that) so communication is not an issue for English speaking travelers! Food was good - huge variety at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinners, menus at restaurants were small but seemed okay for just visiting them once or twice. Nightly shows could have been of better quality but were still good. They set up for 3 different weddings while we were here, always in a different area of the resort. They appeared to have done a beautiful job with set up! All things considered, we would definitely recommend that you book this for a family trip!

    Review

    This place is so amazing I cannot wait to go back. The only thing is that the food needs an upgrade the good food is limited but the view and experience is breathtaking. I would definitely go back again. Mercure was a good excellent restaurant.

    Learned an important lesson while at Dreams onyx

    I was not thrilled about going to Dominican Republic for destination wedding. I am so very happy that I did go because I could not have been more wrong about my impression based on few interactions in U S A. I am very very happy to have gone because it truly changed my perception. First my butler Oswaldo was refined respectful and always seemed to be there when I needed him. Every individual employee was very welcoming and seemed truly happy to be with us. My room person Diana was excellent and did a great job. On the Beach a young man named Edwin was very agreeable and of service like I’ve never experienced. I would recommend this resort and am telling all my friends and family how much I loved my stay. Staying at Dreams Onyx proved how wrong I was to judge a community based on a few unpleasant experiences with your countrymen. Again Oswaldo Diana and Edwin made me realize how important it is not to judge a community on such little petty acts of a few persons.

    Family wedding/vacation

    The resort was nice. There are areas that need fixing/remodeling., like the doors and the private patio areas. The rooms are big and the king bed was comfortable. The bathrooms are big with large shower. Everything needed is in the room and the fridge is stocked with assorted beverages and waters. There’s a hairdryer, clothes steamer and iron in the room. There is also a safe and plenty of closet room. The buffet was good with many choices. Coffee is good at the cafe. The pools were great and water park area was fun. The beach is fun and the waves were huge. The only thing I’d complain about is the noise we could hear in the hallway from inside our room when trying to sleep.

    Wonderful holiday!!!

    This resort was absolutely incredible. I went for my cousins wedding and had an absolute blast. Such a beautiful resort and the staff were amazing. So helpful and kind. I would recommend this resort to everyone!!! So many things to do! Lovely stay
