    Golf arrived in Madeira in the 1930s and has been a part of the island ever since. The Santo da Serra Golf Club's "Favellas" 
    course, with nine holes, opened in 1937, marking the beginning of a strong golfing tradition. 
    Madeira offers ideal conditions for playing year-round, with its exceptional landscapes, tranquility, and natural beauty. Due 
    to it, Madeira hosts the Madeira Islands Open, a key event in the PGA European Tour.
    The island is home to three excellent courses: Palheiro Golf (18 holes), Santo da Serra Golf Club (27 holes), and Porto

    Relaxing Break

    This was a first visit to Madeira and we will be back. Dreams resort was lovely, our room was much larger than expected and we looked straight out onto the sea, ideal. The food was good, plenty of choice but remember to book early in certain restaurants, especially the steak house which is amazing! Reception did get busy and you will need to wait a while sometimes. The beach area is pebbles , when we stayed you couldn't swim in the sea as it gets choppy and closed off. The only negative is the location, only 1 bus in and out of the resort to Funchal daily.

    Very personable, she was very active on interacting with the members at the resort & made everyone feel included. 10/10 recommend her as an activity coordinator.

    Incredible stay! Wonderful restaurants (Voce in particular, big thanks to Sojuon for all his help) and a wonderful activities team (Sofia in particular, so thoughtful and attentive and on the ball with every detail, her customer service is second to none, seek her out if you’re staying here). A wonderful stay and a highlight of our honeymoon trip to Madeira
