Lovely hotel in lush grounds with great pools.
A lovely hotel set in wonderful well maintained grounds full of wildlife. Best to keep your patio doors closed as monkeys very inquisitive. The staff are simply delightful and so hardworking. The really large pools are serviced with swim-up bars and have ample sun beds with umbrellas. Overall we thought the food was very good with a good range of restaurants - the seafood one being our favourite though the sea bass in the Mexican was excellent. We had a lovely relaxing holiday at the Dreams Las Mareas and certainly recommend it. Just be prepared for a long journey from the airport.

It was okay, could’ve been better! Especially since this is a Hyatt location.
Was okay, after the reviews I set the bar high for my experience and it was definitely mediocre. The food was okay and the entertainment could have been better seeing the location and this was a Hyatt location. I don’t have to go back. It was okay.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel grounds are stunning, restaurants all good and our overall experience in 14 nights was good. We stayed in building 6 (they call this monkey building) and did not upgrade to preferred. Our room was nice, cleaned thoroughly daily and we did not have any issues throughout our stay. We highly recommend this hotel, if wildlife is your thing you will not be disappointed here! 😊

Family vacation
Really enjoyed our time here. Juan and Roberto did an excellent job showing us around. We did a fishing trip w Jairo Tours and the hotel was able to cook our fish for our family. Such an amazing experience and would highly recommend it. Johnny and Allan were great for the fishing and snorkelling

Good, but not worth the hype.
We had very high expectations for this hotel, friends and family had great experiences here before us. We had a mix of good and bad things, the facilities a little outdated but very clean and with good maintenance. We had an overall good experience, just filled with little details that made us rethink if the place is worth the extra money or the hype around the hotel. Again, it's a really good place, with lots of great people, but just to name a few, having to ask 3+ times to get a cup of coffee, not finding pool towels 2 days in a row and having to wait 40 minutes for a masseuse to show up to our appointment, are not what I expected here.
