NOT HYATT MATERIAL
The scenery was nice, a lot of the staff were awesome, but....... Was it worth the costs? Were all the amenities available and worth it? Not a chance! If you have food allergies, go elsewhere. It's a long drive from Liberia airport to this place or anywhere else for that matter. If you're wanting isolation then this is the place, if you want to see Costa Rica and sightsee.... go elsewhere. A lot of steps and walking, if you or family have mobility issues - NO. If you go to bed early - NO. Their nightclub is loud, as long as it's open, you can hear it from your rooms. Restaurants; half were closed - everyday! They wanted you to line up for every time, even with more than half of the resort vacancy. Mind you it was a really unusually wet season with all the rain & storms, don't stay on the ground level.....flooding. The walk out pools don't seem to be worth the money and the 'Preferred Club' seems to be a waste of money. I didn't find the beds that comfortable and unless you're on the top floor, you hear everybody running down the hall above you.

Loved Dreams Las Mareas
Best all inclusive experience we’ve ever had. Good food and a beautiful property and spacious, clean rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Plenty of wildlife to be seen on the property without being a nuisance. Beautiful, clean pools with plenty of food options.

Terrible Wedding Experience, too remote, excursions are 2 hours away, hotel outsources everything
The Dreams hotel location limits what you can actually experience in Costa Rica. All excursions are at least 2 hours away. Amstar excursions are misleading and their vans are extremely uncomfortable - especially with the poor road conditions. Their wedding planning team is horrible and over priced. They will nickle and dime you after you sign the contract. They leverage 3rd party vendors for everything including travel arrangements for guests. Hotel Maven was unresponsive and inflexible with all requests. The hotel itself does not see themselves as responsible for the vendors they insist you use. The venue itself is nice, but not 5 star as advertised. Would be good for someone looking to go to a resort and relax at the beach, pool and spa. Not a good location if you want to really see Costa Rica due to the remote location. The staff within the resort (restaurants, cafe's, pools, spa) were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was good in World Cafe, at the pools and in the cafe. However the app doesn't stay up to date so it is hit and miss when you are trying to find out which restaurant is open.

Dreams Las Mareas
The resort grounds are superb and tropical. The pools are many and the ambiance around the pools are relaxing. The spa services are way too overpriced. The beach was subpar. The water was murky prolly due to the rain as we visited in November. The resort is isolated and there is no town nearby where you can go shopping or explore. The tours offered by the resort are limited and expensive due to the added costs of transportation. The staff is hit and miss with service and the language barrier. Overall we still give it a high rating due to the tropical feel and outstanding rooms. If you stay here do order room service. The food is great and the servers are as well.

Amazing Service in an Awesome Location
I can't speak highly enough about Dreams Las Mareas. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and the food was great. I was actually blown away by the quality of service and degree of enthusiasm & professionalism from the staff. While we were visiting, the staff went above and beyond for a Halloween celebration that took extraordinary effort and coordination. Special shoutout to Jesus for the competitive beach volleyball games and Natalia for running the morning hikes! I would highly recommend to others and would consider going back myself.
