Preferred Club is worth it!
With the preferred club lounge providing snacks and drinks throughout the day with a drinks machine in the room, and mini fridge replenished daily free of charge I didn’t need to buy drinks. ( Alcohol other than 2 bottles of beer in the fridge is available from the bars at cost. ) It also gave you a free hour in the spa which has a 25m pool which enabled me see what was on offer. . If like me you use an electric wheelchair or scooter be aware that the excursions are out of the question as apparently the coaches are not insured to carry them in the hold! . The staff were very helpful and adjusted things as needed. eg the shampoo etc in a disabled shower room were the opposite end of the long shower cubicle impossible to reach from the seat! (They agreed to leave them on the floor by the seat ) Although it has A La Carte restaurants only one meal is free. Breakfast and evening meal are buffet service but there were staff on hand who offered help. I made the mistake of going to the non-preferred club restaurant for breakfast one morning. The lack of staff to assist was is stark contrast to the preferred club dining room staffing levels. The rooms are as I expect in a 5* hotel, clean with comfortable beds, air conditioning etc. The turn down service could be any time from 6.30 (I told them not to bother!) Large private balcony - my room had a sea view. The promenade was long and ideal for wheelchairs, with restaurants and shops within 5 minutes in either direction. Taxi ranks were plentiful. My wheelchair was able to get to the ferry so I spent a day on Fuertoventura - again coaches wouldn’t take my electric wheelchair. The hotel complex is wheelchair accessible throughout. Out of season an ideal location for a quiet holiday

A perfect week
Our first time here, and our experience was without fault. We were B&B and ate out so can’t comment on the other meals. Hotel was spotless and continually being kept that way, and our room was beautiful, with a sea view over the Sea Legs pool and bar. We went preferred and it’s well worth it, for the room, the daily replenished minibar, and access to Sea Legs which is lovely and chilled, with a great swim-up cocktail bar. Also access to the Preferred Lounge for coffee and snacks during the day which was useful - though would be good to have one reliable meat/dairy free option. The hotel was quiet (other than inevitably during the entertainment), and the staff were all lovely, from reception and porters to every one we passed who was busy cleaning and tidying and always smiling and saying hello. We won’t be thinking of looking anywhere else when we come back to Playa Blanca.

Lanzarote, Playa Blanca, playa doroda
Overall very good hotel, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly. Beautiful location. Food choices are limited given the rating of the hotel. If you are not all inclusive then water is really expensive, charges 4 Euros for 500ml of water bottle.

Xmas vacation
Our 5th visit to the hotel, third time in December and second visit since the Hotel was refurbished. Once again a great 10 day holiday they really do make the effort at Xmas, beautifully decorated classy and understated. We go Preferred Club love the new pool area to the left of the hotel and the added extra’s….. ie…snack lounge, one hour visit to the spar plus evening meal at one of the themed restaurants. Hotel always beautiful clean, staff friendly and responsive from the cleaner's bar staff, and restaurant waiters. Evening entertainment was varied and better than most. Will be returning again next year during December.

Lovely hotel & staff - great quality food & drink.
A really lovely hotel. Staff were outstanding and all very friendly, clean, well kept (and beautifully decorated for Christmas), evening shows were of good quality (singers / music for just over an hour each night), pools and bars very good and food overall was some of the best we’ve had at any all inclusive hotel. Recommended for couples or families as, although I don’t take the children, there are lots of children’s facilities too.
