Nov 19, 2024Absolutely fantastic hotel.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Absolutely fantastic hotel. My wife and I had a spacious room on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the hotel garden and the ocean. Live music in the evenings and sometimes with breakfast. Cleanliness is exemplary and so are the staff. We will definitely stay there again!

Just perfect every year
We stay at this hotel every year. We love it, we know it by heart. It's very well maintained and the vegetation is lush. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The management is very available and helps us to have a very pleasant stay every time. We take the “Preferred Club” option, which gives us reserved areas with sea views and a separate restaurant for breakfast and snacks.

Nov 17, 2024Hotel more for ‘Preferred’ Hyatt Members
Think I have stayed in a differant hotel to other reviews (not) we were not Hyatt ‘Preffered club guests and did we know it. How differant the treatment is ! From booking this hotel all I got was emails trying to pay for upgraded rooms and join members club at a cost. Despite putting in room requests which I know are not guaranteed we got non of them. Our room was very worn it was not very clean and had a view of a tree on the tiniest of balconies I have every seen. We had patio door issues that would not close and lots of other room issues which is not acceptable for the so called stars of this hotel. The aircon did work well though and towels changed regularly but our bed never got clean bedding on. The hotel is quite large and very attractive looking but it is quite noisy around the area too and even around the gloomy overcrowded pool area there is music playing but also playing from the bars around the pool too so can have two lots mixed loud music playing so not much peace there. Also at the bars on a night in the hotel the music is quite loud too and can be heard throughout the hotel and even rooms away from that area so no early quieter nights .This hotel seems to cater more for the Hyatt preffered members who have their own lounge areas to eat & restaurants and special bedrooms and seem to get preferential treatment too from what I saw. The rest of us barely get spoken to or acknowledged by staff and can come across as very rude which is very poor customer service I have never had this in other hotels at all usually staff are so friendly but not this hotel at all and non of them look like they wanted to be there or talk to you if they can help it. The hotel is in a handy position though for the area with lots of eating places and bars nearby it is near the beach. The food we did eat was never warm unless freshly cooked but to be fair there was an brilliant choice at breakfast and well stocked up but again this time waiting staff let it down. Such a shame as the hotel could do so much better.

Disappointing stay
Had high hopes for this hotel after the reviews but from what I experienced it was not that good. The location is a good one however the area around the hotel is not well lit up whatsoever and very dark which was very scary as two women on own although that is not hotels fault. Check in was slow and the reception team not very welcoming or obliging. We were extremely disapointed with the pool area it looks beautiful and tropical however realistically there are no where enough sunbeds and they are packed so close to each other we love the sun but due to the height of hotel and tropical trees the pool area is in the shade nearly all of the day about 1/3 of beds if that got any sun only and they had towels on at 7.30am. Our room was noisy from the car park and bins being emptied and not as clean and modern as expected .The breakfast was a very good choice but the service was poor every day we needed to ask for the coffee and the table never got cleared with all our dishes on until after we had gone. However it was a lovely eating area with lovely views. The reception area and hotel decor seemed modern thoughand clean but too many minuses in our opinion expected so much better for price paid.

The hotel is very clean and they were doing touch up’s to paint work whilst we were staying. There was a good variety of food. I thought some of the meat in the buffet was a little pink and a bit cold. However you can have meat coked on the grill. The desserts were delicious. We used the coco cafe and barefoot grill for lunch the choice was good. I was able mix and match what I wanted. We were inclusive and preferred club which meant we could use the beds which over looked the sea. We mainly used these in the afternoon and beds were always available. Beds around the pool were available and are early risers so went down early. They do take towels off if you don’t use the bed for an hour. The pool was warm and parts are very deep. The room was comfortable and clean. The reception staff were helpful.
