  Tropical paradise

  Once again, we spent a wonderful week at the hotel. As frequent returning guests, we were given the best room. The staff are delightful, and the services and the appearance of the hotel are outstanding. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

  Would not recommend for the price

  I’ve stayed at the Dreams in Punta Cana - but this was a poor version of what is meant to be an extraordinary hotel chain. From the moment we checked in, we were left waiting 20 minutes after a long flight to actually speak to someone… and then we were sold a rubbish upgrade which we downgraded a few hours later. we did really want to keep the room we had, but they wouldn’t let us without staying on the preferred package which was a con and not worth the money. it’s definitely worth the money if you stay at the Punta Cana resort though! What a scam! There was a lot of hotel construction work going on -which woke us up at eight in the morning. The bed we had moved every time we moved, or turned over. It was also extremely uncomfortable compared to the preferred bed. There was also not any toiletry items which usually get with any hotel! The staff are just not very friendly and don’t even say hello half the time you walk in… I just did not have the energy to complain, so left. I’m so harsh on this review, is because I paid a lot of money for this trip, and it was NOT worth it. The Ritz Carlton was a similar price but 10x better!!

  A quiet and relaxing stay

  Lovely hotel. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and our room was perfect for us. The hotel was clean, quiet, and staff were very kind if we needed anything. We only did the bed and breakfast all inclusive option, but could pay extra for the dinner buffet as well - however we found it to be very expensive.

  Good but not exceptional. Style over substance.

  We started with a lovely welcome in reception with a glass of prosecco and a quick and efficient check in. Our room on the 4th floor was spacious at first glance but after unpacking we quickly realised that it was more a case of style over substance. The placement of power sockets was impractical, the mirror was in the darkest part of the room (even with lights on) and the safe inside the wardrobe was on the floor - not helpful for older guests. The bed was very close to the wardrobe and couldn't be moved because it would then be in front of the power sockets. There was also a lot of wasted space by the patio doors which could have been better used. The bathroom, however was huge, well laid out and stocked with everything you need. The outside area by the pool was stunning with lovely architecture. However the sunbeds were jammed in like sardines - to the point where if you put up your sun shade/umbrella you would be shading your neighbour from the sun too. The World cafe was large and we didn't have any problems getting a seat whatever time we went down for breakfast. The breakfast was pretty average and never very hot but there was plenty of choice even for fussy eaters. All in all I would say this is a 4 star hotel, very pretty and unique with excellent service but sadly the pool area let it down for us.

  Very disappointed - misleading marketing.

  We paid for the all-inclusive package in a Club suite, but discovered Dreams Jardin Tropical Resort is not all-inclusive at all. Their marketing is very misleading. Even at the very top level of the experience there are so many things excluded, for example a glass of champagne is extra, premium spirits are extra, even certain ice creams are extra. The wine in the restaurant is by the glass only, with a very limited choice of two, or perhaps three, wines; a bottle of wine is extra. Having paid a premium price for a premium all-inclusive package we were very disappointed. All-inclusive should mean just that - no exceptions.
