We stayed at Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán from the 4th–9th and had our wedding there, and it truly felt like a dream. Scarlette, our wedding planner, was amazing. I only speak English and she made everything so easy to understand. She walked us through every detail and brought our vision to life perfectly. The beach ceremony, flowers, arch, DJ — everything was exactly how we pictured it. Esmeralda and the spa team handled hair and makeup, and they were fantastic. I didn’t have to stress about a single thing. I just got to enjoy being a bride. One of my favorite memories was the morning after the wedding — sitting on our balcony eating leftover cake while watching dolphins swim past. We also saw whales during our stay, and the sunsets every night were unreal. My husband and his groomsmen played golf and loved the course. They rented clubs and carts, and said it was beautiful and in great shape right along the water. The resort wasn’t overly crowded, the staff was so kind, and there were fun touches like a Super Bowl viewing and a fire show at night. The food is what you’d expect from an all-inclusive, but the people and the experience are what make this place special. We would absolutely recommend Dreams Mazatlán for a wedding or vacation. It was the perfect place to start our marriage.

Estrella Del Mar’s 1st time Mazatlan Vacation Experience & Resort Observations & Service Expectations
Our Dreams vacation at Estrella Del Mar started with a big welcome & a warm and friendly smile upon our arrival by Giovanny. He was eager to help with our bags and offered lots of insightful info about the property. Giovanny was very hospitable during our entire stay. A real asset to the Bell Boy Team. The Resort in our opinion is more of a 4 star than a 5 star. The Restaraunts that stood out with exceptional menu’s were Portofino and Oceana. The Cafe Hut offered fantastic pastry’s and Frappuccino’s. The Preferred Lounge tasting food menu buffet was always Top Notch! Well done Chef! Bartender Gilberto made amazing cocktails and did so with such “Class”. The room itself was very inviting and the views off the patio breath taking. Melissa also was very approachable and easy to talk to at the lounge desk. Bartender Angel looked after us in the morning in the preferred lounge and he was always offering top shelf service. As you can see by my comments that individuals make the trip memorable but as a “Foodie” so does the food and beverage. The Buffet had good options but it could offer a broader selection of dishes. The Asian / Mediterranean Restaraunt Meraki & the Mexican Restaraunt fell flat with their dishes as the dishes were not as seasoned or flavourful as they could be. The Ice Cream Parlour - The Ice Cream had absolutely no flavour profile. All flavors show cased did not taste like anything. A Big disappointment if you’re an Ice Cream Fan. Only comes available. I would suggest to the management team you add a higher quality product and offer serving cups as well as cones. Oceana’s Restaraunt staff that stood out were Fernando & Moises. Both these individuals new their hospitality profession very well and it was a privilege to have them serve us, Classy guys! While our stay we spent our entire time between the beach and the adult pool. The one person that stood out from all the rest in providing exceptional service, hospitality and leading by example in how to treat guests everyday is “Hernan”. What an amazing individual, so caring, conversational and fun to interact with. I would strongly suggest the management team to look at Hernan to be part of your management team as Hernan’s direction is infectious and can motivate other employees to offer the same Service! Sandra in the World cafe is also a Breath of Fresh Air. She’s works at the Omelette station and is one of the most positive, friendly, talkative and hardest working team members at the property. I encourage you all to visit her during your stay she is lovely. And to the management team, I encourage you to use Sandra as a Team Lead in your cafe, she can be utilized better in my opinion in your operation. The music played around the Adult pool needs is old and overplayed. Please update your play lists management team. Ideally it would be wonderful to see more palm trees planted on the beach and on the resort grounds. The estate rooms are well decorated and well stocked and detailed in all aspects for your stay. My recommendation is if you want to be pampered with a nicer room and top shelf beverages and access to the preferred lounge and adult pool then select the “Preferred Club” at the point of your booking selection, thank me later. The Spa is disappointing, it doesn’t give you that warm inviting welcome that nice smelling ambience that most people who enjoy spa treatments tend to receive. More towels around the property are required, a distinct fragrance is a must as you walk in and more scents are required throughout the space. Though the property is only 2 years old it’s a wonderful place to vacation at for sure. The challenges for this property I see is that its location is 45 mins from downtown Mazatlan and getting staff out to the property will be a challenge unless better incentives are offered. Also, English qualified speaking staff is a must to keep up with the guests inquiries especially at the Restaraunts. As for Golfing if you are a golfer the attached Golf course is designed and laid out beautiful and is open and forgiving. A 5 minute drive to the course from the hotel. All in All the resort was very well done and we look forward to returning to enjoy the wonderful amenities and to see the beautiful friends we made during our stay. Mike Canada

Great couples trip
I cannot say enough great things about Alejandro and Joel at the Desires. They make the best drinks at the sports bar. While Carlos, Enrique, and Gregory at Manatees are your goto bartenders while at the pool! Sandra was a staple of the breakfast buffet. She makes the best omelets hands down! Overall it was a great experience. I would suggest The Stone Island tour if you're interested in doing excursions. Such a great experience overall. Will be visiting again.

Sandra at the omelete station is amazing! Sweetest person and makes the best omelets. Joel the bartender is the best! These people make this resort a great place to visit.
