Amazing time at Dream Dominicus La Romana
Amazing experience! The resort showed us great hospitality the entire week. We got recommended to use Amsterdam shuttle from the airport to the hotel and they were always on time and very helpful. Junior was our awesome Bellman that showed us a very warm welcome. The amenities were great! I personally recommend 2 nights eating at Himitsu Japanese restaurant, one night for the Hibachi grill and one to order from their other menu. I would then go to the French restaurant, and Italian, The Seaside was not a personal favorite of mine but it is widely popular. The Entertainment Team is great and definitely recommended the nightly shows. I also recommend the morning yoga classes. I loved the beach ! If you need anything at all while you’re at the Beach, find Sony, he was so helpful!! We did the crazy wheels and sunset excursions and enjoyed both. One was to tackle our adventure side and the other was very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed the history and beautiful scenery. Definitely planning to come back.

Dreams Vacation
We loved our stay @ Dreams Dominicus. Sony, head of security, was most helpful, as I was there to teach Yoga on the pier each morning. The views were incredible, people were amazing, tours and experience was great!

I would prefer not to get sick and walk a half mile to the beach
Going to try and keep this brief and I'll start with the good. The beach is very nice. The bad, 6 out of 9 people got ill with a stomach bug and had to waste a day in the room. They force you to take hand sanitizer before you enter any restaurant, and based on other reviews and message boards, they are aware of the issue. The rooms were made to look clean but definitely was not really clean. Toilets have about a cup of water in the bowl, leaving you to clean up the bowl after use. Most important thing to know is if you get preferred and your room is across the street you have a .4 mile walk from the elevator to the beach. Not a great option for older people.

Smiles by the sea
This beautiful, well-appointed resort was a delightful place to escape the northern winter and enjoy the warm sunshine and hospitality of the DR. Excellent first impression—even the arrivals/ departures area was considerately stocked with mint water, fruit, and cookies, and the check-in staff were very cordial (thanks Yusdys for remembering me and handling my question so efficiently, and Erick for helping with bags with a big smile). The beach itself was an absolute highlight—in fact I went for a long walk along the coast, and this section of the beach was the nicest around—crystal water and a soft sand bottom. The platform at the end of the pier was a lovely setting for a yoga class or to watch a sunset. The watersports center had so many options--I tried a kayak and a paddleboard, and Noe at the counter was very safety-oriented, ensuring that we waited for the right conditions to paddleboard. Unlike some beaches, Dreams had a lifeguard station, and Moises kept a friendly and watchful eye on swimmers, as well as encouraging us to return (gladly!). The food was delicious (especially the unforgettable freshly grilled white tuna and perfectly ripe pineapple), and among others, Perla the dining greeter and Eddie the waiter provided warm, professional, top notch service. Speaking of top notch service, Francisco, a chef, went above and beyond his official role without hesitation to help me with a heavy awkward thing I was carrying—gracias! The tireless and infectiously enthusiastic E-team were so much fun to be around, you never knew what lively game would follow the aqua aerobics class IN the ocean which was a blast in and of itself. Everyone was kind, and I appreciated the warm welcome from Jazmin and Ruddy and the lively energy of Colibri and Chocolate. Evening shows provided a wide variety of live entertainment, from acrobatics and fire dancing to magic tricks and folk dance. Definitely a trip to remember, a wonderful first visit to the DR—can’t wait to return.
