Disappointing Dreams
Beautiful ocean views. That’s it. The food was the most disappointing of all. As someone who needs to eat gluten free, the menus throughout were extremely limited. They may offer a GF starter but then nothing else for a main course. The buffet was the worst I have experienced within the Dreams franchise. Extremely limited, unappetizing food and nothing was labeled. My non-GF family was unimpressed as well. I overheard two women saying “We’re not eating another dinner here. We going to the restaurants in town for the rest of our stay.” The rooms are extremely dated. The shower pooled water onto the floor with each shower. After the first day, we never received a floor mat and often the hand towels and washed clothes were not replaced with the morning cleaning. Some evenings I was able to get wash clothes if I happened to be in the room when they came by. If you are used to the staff taking your orders for drinks poolside and serving them to you like many of the Dreams locations this not offered here. There is no Preferred Club section at the pool either. There are way better Dreams to visit. I do not recommend this resort!

Not for fussy people
Flight: non Canadian readers please skip this We purchased an Ait Canada vacation package last minute. We didn’t discover until we got our itinerary that it would be an Air Canada Rouge flight. That experience was terrible, no screen, no food other than a single cookie. No leg room and very uncomfortable seats. I’d never fly rouge again! Arrival at hotel: check in was simple and we met several helpful people. Ziad at the preferred lounge was charming. Front desk staff were always helpful. Room We had room 535, it was huge with a couch and two chairs and a fantastic ocean view. Food and service Food overall was good not great. But there was always something to eat. Three à la carte and a buffet. The buffet wasn’t elaborate but consistent, with enough choices. The mashed potatoes changed a little every day as it the vegetable rice both were excellent. A few meat and a fish choice lunch and dinner. Self serve wine, juice coffee etc Oceana the ocean front restaurant was our favourite and as préfère customers you can have breakfast and lunch there too. We loved the pumpkin soup at lunch and the crispy pork dish at dinner. The hamburger at lunch wasn’t good. The « lobster » bisque was a seafood stew, no sign or aroma of lobster. The hours varied. We never did have breakfast there because it didn’t open at 7 am and the buffet breakfast was good. Portofino was good, not great. The steak place whatever it was called was ok but on our second visit there both my appetizer and main were cold by the time they reached the table, staff were slow. Drinks were good, the beer was good too. Bar staff were slow even with tips. Preferred club has a self serve bar with a variety of mid grade booze. Beer wine water pop and mix also available The cafe at the back of the gift shop was very good. Four or five varieties of ice cream, coffee sandwiches and snacks. The staff there all of them were responsive and friendly The beach is small less than 100 ´ or 30 m wide. There are just over 100 loungers on the beach. Chairs did get claimed early but opened up throughout the day. The entry is a bit rocky but the water is nice and calm and there are a great number and variety of fish there. Great snorkeling! The hotel itself is an older property and shows it but the cleaning and maintenance staff were always working on it. Diving I did 4 shore dives the Goby diving staff were helpful and professional. Shout out to Derek. The shore entries were not off perfect beaches with easy entry I don’t think there are any on the island. Rocky entries were a challenge but we managed $330 USD for two 2 tank dives with gear. Cab ride into town was $20 one way. We shared on the way home. They don’t expect a tip

Beautiful resort for relaxation.
Had a great time! The resort is so close to the beach & pool. Food was good, drinks were too. The spa & gym is also nice. Loved our stay at Dreams. Not everything was perfect but it's what you make it. For the cost, you can't beat it.

We would go here again and would recommend it.
A really nice resort with good restaurants. We were upgraded to the Il Mare resort right next door and that experience was exceptional. It had an extra restaurant that had wonderful meals and wonderful staff. We spent considerable time at the Dreams resort and it was well run and very well maintained.
