Dec 22, 2025Nice Looking Hotel with Loud Dance Club Next Door
I used points for the best room possible at the hotel. It looked great on the website. Instead I received a "comparable room" on the 3rd floor -- even though my profile requests high floor and far away from elevator clearly that didn't matter. I asked for a higher floor but i received the usual "the hotel is full" which I didn't believe, but what was I going to do. In short, the 3rd floor room (#301) is right next to the late night dance club and this is the room the hotel clerk gives to suckers....Forget about sleeping! And, there's a spotlight from the building next door that shines into the room all night. Blackout curtains are the only option. Housekeeping knows this is a really noisy room so why were there only 1 pair of earplugs in the room? Seriously! Doesn't matter...the earplugs wouldn't have helped. It also would have been nice if the front desk clerk advised us this room is going to be noisy so "buckle up!" I could stand on my narrow balcony and literally look straight down at the line of people waiting to walk into the dance club. Separately, the wood floor was scratched up -- needs to be fixed -- and the turntable/speaker system sounds terrible...not to mention the selection of records is really poor. Nice idea, but cheaply executed -- either do it the right way or remove the illusion. At the foot of the bed is a TV on a credenza that's so close i hope we didn't have to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Room 301 just sucks! The room was nice on its own, but the whole experience was terrible...My wife and I left in the middle of the night...we couldn't take it and it wasn't worth it to even ask for a refund. We just wanted to get the hell out of there.

Dec 17, 2025Loved the vibe, but not the execution
I picked the Hyatt Dream Hollywood because I love Hyatt properties and the location is genuinely fantastic. The lobby is gorgeous, the vibe is fun, and the rooftop is clearly meant to be the highlight. On paper, it checks every box. But during my two-night stay, things didn’t play out quite how I expected. The rooftop was closed early both days for private events, so there was no chance to use the pool or grab a drink or a quick bite up there. There is a lobby bar, but it was never open the entire time we were there — not even in the morning for breakfast or an espresso — which made the rooftop closure even more frustrating. It left the hotel without any real food or beverage options. Our room also had some issues. It was small and definitely worn. We actually had to switch rooms because the thin curtain that’s supposed to cover the glass between the shower and the bedroom was ripped and hanging down, offering basically no privacy. The second room was better, but still felt a bit tired for the price point. If you want a great location and a fun atmosphere, this place absolutely has that. I’d recommend checking ahead about rooftop access and lobby bar hours so you’re not caught off guard. With more consistent amenities and some attention to the rooms, it could be a great stay.

We had our staff stay at this Dream hotel during our holiday party. Sam, the manager, went out of his way to assist us. From start to finish, all of our guests received excellent service. Highly recommend.

Good lil hideaway
Hotel is in a great location, lovy is great for pics, and customer service is excellent. Smooth check-in process and friendly staff. The rooms were very smaller than expected and there was no actual mini-fridge to be found. The room bed space and balcany space themselves were extremely tight.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable but the club right outside of my room was so loud I wasn’t able to sleep and they didn’t stop until 3am. In the room was cheap ear plugs that didn’t help and I even tried using my noise canceling headphones and that didn’t even help tune out the noise. This caused me exhaustion and I even missed my city tour due to sleeping through my alarm. I would definitely not stay in this hotel again.
