Breakfast buffet is a huge rip-off
I dislike writing bad reviews, but our hotel stay was NOT good. It's an older building, was kinda smelly, we found the customer service to be lacking and the breakfast buffet was a huge rip-off. We sent our two older kids to the breakfast buffet. The bill came to $80+ dollars for TWO people! The advertised price I could have lived with, but the automatic 20% gratuity and food and beverage taxes applied made it ridiculously expensive for the selection and quality of the food. Later in the day, we were pressed for time so we decided to eat at the restaurant for an early dinner. Other than one customer finishing up, we were the only table. After 30 minutes of waiting after putting in our order, we left. The staff said sorry but didn't seem to be concerned at all. We said something to the front desk and they didn't seem to care at all either. We will not return to this hotel.

Friendly and Accommodating
I arrived in Los Angeles much earlier than I had planned and was afraid I would have to wait for six hours until being allowed to check-in. I called the hotel and told them of my situation and they said to come over, my room was ready. (this was 9:00am!) I was so relieved, and when I walked into the room it was obvious my luck was continuing. The view of many recognizable downtown buildings was just outside the window. The hotel restaurant was staffed by a very friendly host and waitstaff, and the food was quite tasty. It's obvious that a Justice Center or Courthouse was nearby--judging by the restaurant name and wall decor. I found the main room, bathroom, work desk and bed to be very good. I would choose this location again if I found myself in the downtown/Chinatown area.

Save your self the headache
Roaches in the room Surrounding area is riddled with homeless people who fight outside during the night. I could hear people screaming and shouting all night. One woman yelling “help!!!” There was also arguing in the lobby. This was by far the worst hotel that I ever stayed at for a business trip. Don’t do it, online pictures are definitely deceiving and inaccurate.

Convenient location to Union Station and a good area. Breakfast buffet not included
The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice, and clean. The lobby felt a bit shabby but it was safe and in what looked to be a safe area. The only drawback was that their food prices were expensive. A plastic bottle of Diet Coke in their lobby pantry is $7.99. The food in their restaurant was delicious but we had read online that breakfast was included so went through the very basic buffet and then were presented with a bill for $84 dollars. The buffet alcove was NOT marked, there were no menus to look at our options, not prices were stated anywhere, the waiter didn’t say a word. it looked like a hundred ‘breakfast is included’ buffets that we have had in our travels. My husband was so upset he complained to the front desk who told him it was his problem, he should have asked. The management saw his complaint and reversed the charge so that changed my opinion of the place. They could have made it easy and special and a fun two night experience after having our train canceled and being stranded passengers. Being Hilton Honors members for many years and in the resort business my whole career, they need to perk up their customer service and shine a bit.

Needs an Upgrade!!!
Stayed for 4 nights, we had 3 rooms as I was with colleagues. The rooms were ok, my room was an odd shape but quite spacious. The hotel is in need of some TLC, the reception and bar area looks very tired, this is the first impression as you enter the hotel. The breakfast was ok, it costs $35 a head for breakfast so you would expect a bit more choice. The hotel is situated in a sketchy part of the City, we were advised not to walk anywhere and to use cabs - I would also agree with a previous reviewer about the sirens and helicopters that are non stop at night. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the cleaner was great, my room was spotless every day.
