Happy Couple!!
The front desk agent named Ed was super amazing! He was very knowledgeable and professional. His courtesy was very nice and friendly! He blessed me and my husband with complimentary breakfast and blessed us to check in early. We will definitely be back when we return to Colorado and hope to get him again!

Horrendous.
Manager Scott Turbow refused to cancel my Expedia reservation despite my stay being 48 hours away and having a cancellation policy. The hotels facebook describes him with.. "Our General Manager Scott Turbow leads with kindness, dedication, and an incredible passion for hospitality. From supporting our team to making sure every guest feels right at home. He truly sets the tone for excellence here at DoubleTree Denver-Aurora." I would heartily disagree and as a lifelong Hilton aficionado he also does not want me to spend another dime at a Hilton property, apparently. Thanks, Scott! Incredible customer service!

Hospitality fail
Second rate facilities, undertrained staff. The person(s) responsible for bathroom design should be given an opportunity for a different career. Despite having adequate space for a comfortable 36” wide shower, they elected to design a shower that was less than 27” wide and installed the shower control under the shower head so that the only way to turn on the shower was to reach in and get soaked. Perhaps the firm developing the property should consider hiring people who have stayed in a hotel or at least taken a shower. Regarding the undertrained staff comment, I was given a room directly under an area that would have work on roof repairs begin at 8AM the next morning (a Saturday morning), eliminating the option of sleeping in or doing productive work in the room with the symphony of hammer drills and other noises related to the roof repair. Why management could have not informed front desk personnel and suggested they not place guests directly under the work location escapes me. To add more to the unpleasant guest experience when informed of the problem, the person at the front desk offered no apology other than offering to move me and made no compensatory offer to make up for the error

Meets Your Needs Above and Beyond
We flew in to CO on our way to a big camp gathering in Wyoming on Aug 2024. We were in charge of buying food for our group. It was a lot of food! The staff went above and beyond by providing numerous luggage carts to transport the food without us even asking. They saw a need and met us at the curb with the carts. I was so impressed by their hospitality, friendliness and kindness.

Awful
If you need to carry medicine that you need to freeze a ice pack, so it stays cold on the road; don’t stay here. No freezer in the refrigerator, which is not very cold anyways. The reception Ed (is worthless) refuses to freeze your ice pack, stating its a health issue (thats why its in another bag). Every hotel I have stayed at for 20 years has had this service. Don’t bother telling him that there are issues with your room. Told them the TV reverts to their sales channel every 15 minutes; it's been there for three days! The bathroom is really small; the shower is so narrow, I hit both walls while showering. The water is also really hard to adjust, and you have to stand underneath it while turning it on. The ceiling is peeling; hope it’s not lead paint. The hotel was in need of refurbishment at least ten years ago. If you travel you know this but the food is really bad, and for $20, why have it? There is a homeless encampment just outside the hotel. I think they should turn this into a homeless shelter!
