Family stay In Waikiki
Stayed here for 6 x nights as a family (1 x queen room, 2 x adjoining rooms for parents + kids). There seems to be a million hotels to choose from in Waikiki, however, this seemed to be the only one I could find that could offer adjoining rooms during our stay period. I've stayed at lot's of Doubletree Hilton and I think they're fine - I'm a Hilton Gold Member. We arrived a bit early and were told our rooms wouldn't be available 'till normal check-in time (3pm) - I think we got rooms about 2.30pm. They let us leave our luggage while we waited / went walking. I didn't get any real recognition as a Gold Member at check-in - not a problem for me, but Hilton always ask about that if I do a survey. Hilton Gold at this property does get you an $18USD credit per person per day hotel credit and some free Hilton Cookies - possibly every day if you ask nicely. NOTE - this credit is NOT available to use in the on-site Hiking Cafe. The hotel itself is not too flashy, but well located (for us) between the tourist strip and Ala Moana Mall. We were on floors 8 and 11 and both rooms had Ok views - but not like the big beachfront hotels of course - but then you're not paying as much either. Nice, spacious rooms with all the usual room amenities / features - I did like the bedside USB-C / Power units - great for bedside phones. The bed was softly firm and comfortable (for us). I'm not a fan of paying the money they charge for hotel breakfasts and there's several options a couple of minutes walk from the hotel for brekky. There's a bunch of Food trucks across the road as well. The pool area that the kids HAD to have was nice and uncrowded - however, there's no bar / food service at the pool and for this you have to got to the Lobby and order something from Trees Cafe (where hotel breakfast happens) - it doesn't open until 5.30pm after lunch service. Seems kind of weird that you can't easily get a drink by the pool...... Everything about this property is "fine", not memorable or amazing and perhaps this is more of a business hotel judging by the amount of function rooms for the size of the hotel. However, judging by the other prices I saw when planning, this hotel was still good value-for-money. Any hey....... you're in Hawaii, so can't complain too much.

Great location
Nice hotel, clean and very friendly people. The valet was exceptional and provided ALOT of great recommendations of things to do around the island, traffic, etc. Great location and close to so many things. Only 2 blocks to the beach.

Great customer service and location
I love the atmosphere, location, room, and customer service. The front desk Reynold really went above and beyond to assure we were happy with the room we booked and answered all of our questions throughout the day. Kristi was very accommodating through text to check in with us to make sure our problems were resolved. And the day we were checking out, Michelle was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed for our last few hours
