Mold- unacceptable
MOLD!!!! My family felt horrible when staying here. We were not in the room much, but as soon as we came in each night, we all started getting itchy and felt "off". As soon as we left the hotel for the next day, we started feeling better. It wasn't until the night before leaving that I discovered all of the black mold in our room. It was heavy in the toilet tank and in the shower grout. The room had an off odor as well. This is a health hazard and is completely unacceptable considering the costs for these trips. I would avoid staying here.

A Disappointing Disney.
First impressions leave a lasting memory. On arrival with our family group the cast member who met us was not very welcoming. This was in stark contrast to the excellent cast members of Disney All Star when we visited on several occasions many years ago, when our children were younger. There was not even an offer of help with our baggage. Later I did speak to another more friendly cast member who advised me that there was a service to help take our bags to our room. Our bedroom was clean but disappointingly there was no wardrobe hanging space for our clothes and only three small draws for our other clothes. Our small fridge was faulty and froze everything. It took three days to repair. The restaurant was freezing cold and remained so for every day of our two weeks stay. By the time you selected your food and queued to pay for it, it was cold. I had to use a microwave to eat anything hot. Generally, the food was expensive, not very healthy with high salt, fat or sugar content. On my first evening meal of Ramen soup, I developed symptoms of food poisoning. I reported this to the management that I suspected it was as a result of my meal, but the response was disappointing. Except when advising me of the arrival of some medication which I had to order and clearing our blocked toilet. In mitigation my two-year-old granddaughter also became ill during our stay, and the medical services who helped her were outstanding. The positive aspect of our stay was the lovely, themed gardens and swimming pools. Also, the transportation including the Disney Skyliner gondola was very good. Overall, it did not meet our expectations compared to our past Disney experiences in Florida. It failed to live up to its marketing and did not represent value for money for what turned out to be a very expensive holiday. A Disappointing Disney.

Amazing Experience!
Everything about this resort is very immersive, you feel inside a Disney journey everywhere you go, special thanks to Tamara from Guest Services, she is the best! And all of the bellboy staff. We strongly recommend this resort if you want value for your money and it has the access to the Skyliner which was awesome. 10/10

Health hazard:mold
This was our families first time to disney world. My mom, myself and my two children. We stayed in the lion king family suites. The hotel main lobby area and outside landscaping are beautiful but the rooms are subpar. After less than 12 hours we all woke up with congestion, headaches and runny eyes which then became coughing. My families symptoms would improve immediately once going outside however I'm immune compromised and symptoms lasted longer. We discoverer mold in the vents (which means it's an hvac wide system issue so switching rooms wouldn't have mattered). We didn't discover the mold until our last night by standing on a chair and shining light into the vents. We've been home less than 24 hours and all of us feel better. This is a HUGE safety and health hazard that they need to fix. Due to feeling so poorly every day it greatly impacted our disney experience. The tub leaked constantly. Maintenance tightened it but the leaking returned after each shower. The food was nothing to rave about and room service is not an option. If you have a family member with dairy allergies (dessert wise bring your own). They also charge $6 for a latte but don't know how to use their own machine. They poured cold milk into hot coffee and then said their frother was broke but I could microwave my coffee. What!? Do yourself a favor and go the Caribbean resort and get a coffee from the coffee cart. Skyliner was probably the best and most convenient part of the resort. I'd stay elsewhere until they fix their mold issues.

Pleasant Stay at AoA
We stayed as a family of four (kids ages 5 and 3) for four nights, and the hotel’s location and theming really made the trip special. Being connected to the Disney Skyliner via the Pop Century station was a huge win and made transportation smooth and fun for the kids. ⭐ The Good Excellent queen bed – surprisingly comfortable after long park days. Fantastic room size – plenty of space for a family with young children. Great bunk bed setup – the kids absolutely loved it and slept well. Animation Hall store & cast members – warm, helpful, and added to the magic. Theming – the Cars area, especially Building 1, is beautifully done and immersive. ❗ The Bad Both showers were in very poor condition and clearly need renovation. Food court was chaotic – messy tables, long waits, and visibly overworked staff struggling to keep up. Extremely expensive – we paid over $4,000, which feels high given the issues above
