Amazing stay at Desert Rose
Our stay at Desert Rose was one of the best experiences I have had. We usually sat downtown but were in Vegas for a week and wanted something that felt more like home. From the time we arrived until we left the staff treated us wonderful. If we needed anything, they got it. They served ice cream by the pool daily to the guests. Jayden made an amazing Caesar!! Derrick and Alex were so helpful and friendly as well. My husband loved the opportunity to grill a nice ribeye. The evenings under the stars by the fire pit with a glass of wine were wonderful. It’s literally an 8 minute walk to the MGM. We walked down the strip a couple of times. We will be back!!

Rate this place 11 out of 10.
It is unusual for me to visit a place where I can say I wouldn’t change a thing. This resort has been the absolute perfect home away from home. First of all, I think there are few things more important than a highly functioning a/c unit and the one here is magnificent. I am impressed at how perfect the kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, etc. all are. Not a mosh mash of unmatched vessels, like one usually gets. The tvs and remotes all work great, the beds are SO comfortable! Even tho this resort is not on the strip, it’s very close. I like being right off the strip - we have a view from our room of the Luxor and Mandelay Bay - that part of the strip. The pool and hot tub are great and nicely maintained! How many times have you been to a place and the hot tub doesn’t work? And they have the coolest room keys- you wear them as a little bracelet so you don’t have to worry about lugging your key around with you. So handy! And the staff has been enormously helpful. If I return to Vegas again I will, without a doubt, stay at Desert Rose.

Great place to stay close to Las Vegas strip!
Friendly staff throughout resort, from check in to maintenance. Nice large unit with best view in the resort. Great location close to strip. Free parking. Nice pool area open in February. No resort fees. Loved everything about this resort!

Great location but dated and limited amenities
This spot is a mixed bag. If the prices for hotels skyrocket and you get lucky with this one, then that’s one thing. But overall I feel like you can have a much better experience for your money than this place. The set up is like that of a motel where the hallways are all outside. Inside it does have the dishwasher and fridge. There’s no washer and dryer. It’s very dark and old inside and just seemed like La Quinta level overall in cleanliness and amenities. The pool is heated but to my ultimate sadness, the hot tub was out of service the entire time. I would have stayed elsewhere if I would have known. There’s no gambling or restaurant but there is a tiny bar and pool table. There’s super limited food available. The location is great and there’s no daily resort fee which is the best part about this place. Also the staff were really nice and helpful. You will hear noise in the hallways so if you’re a light sleeper try and get something furthest from the main path near elevator. Overall really likely won’t stay here again.
