  Beautiful setting, meh overall resort

  We recently stayed at the Delta Nayarit, Mexico and wanted to give some feedback. The hotel seemed understaffed, especially at the pool and restaurants. Pool towel service was consistenly out of towels and we were told to either come back in 30 minutes or they would offer a bathrobe in place of a towel (note there were no bathrobes in the rooms). There is also no towel service at the beach. Since you can only get one towel per person at a time, this is inconvient. Two seperate days, the water in the rooms went out, rendering taking a shower impossible. The gym never had sweat towels and was out of cleaning wipes multiple days, which I reported to the front desk. All in the all, the resort feels tired. There aren't enough lounge chairs at the pools or the beach and the beach lacks amenities. I was quite surprised there was no paddleboards or kayaks, even for a rental fee. Some of the pools seemed a little dirty, and the hot tubs were lukewarm. Food was a little better at the beach club but the food at the resort was often lukewarm at best and very limited lunch options. Lastly, the shower was gross, the showerhead was caked with residue as was the shower glass and windows.The ceiling around the showerhead was peeling and had water damage. The beaches and mountain setting was beautiful but the resort just felt tired and needs a deep cleaning.

  Old and Disappointing

  We tried this resort as The Points Guy recommended it as a "best value for money spent" deal. This was a lesson in "you get what you pay for." The resort was dated, not well-maintained, and lacked quality to get it to a 2-star status in my opinion. From check-in, the staff were pretty content. They weren't rude or mean, but weren't as welcoming as one would expect at a resort. Pools seemed nice but were overcrowded and didn't look very clean. Rooms were less appointed than a roadside motel. Dirt and grime had built up in sinks and showers, and some plumbling fixtures were broken. One bright spot is that as a family of five, we had connecting rooms with a king in one room and two double beds in the other. Regardless of the deal you're getting, traveler be warned.

  Awesome!

  We had an excellent stay at this resort and would absolutely come back. The property itself is beautiful, well maintained, and exactly what you want from an all-inclusive—relaxing, comfortable, and easy to enjoy from day one. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay great. You never felt like just another guest. A special shout-out to Benny at the Xaman Bar. He was outstanding. Friendly, professional, and always in a great mood, Benny made some of the best drinks we had all week and remembered what we liked without even asking. He single-handedly turned the Xaman Bar into one of our favorite spots at the resort. The kind of bartender who makes you want to come back the next day—and the next. Overall, fantastic service, great atmosphere, and a staff that truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommended.

  Loved it

  Amazing time!!! Gustavo and Manuel were amazing!!! Always anticipating our needs. We did bracket making with Isable Lourdes and Karen and thy were wonderful!! Would return here again for this wonderful staff.

  Fun times at Delta!

  Isabel and Lourdes and Karen were amazing!! Fun times in an art and wine class!! Best experience!! They make this vacation so much fun!! You have to try it!!
