Rude reception staff
Terrible experience regarding reception staff, particularly the manager, rude and told blatant lies. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. We certainly will.

Estadía maravillosa: ¡altamente recomendado!
During our stay at the hotel for a business trip with a group of friends, we had a really great time. The hotel seemed eccentric, with a unique style that made the experience interesting and different. The facilities were comfortable, and the atmosphere was pleasant for relaxing after our meetings. The only thing that didn’t meet expectations was the breakfast buffet (briefcase). We noticed that some of the products didn’t look fresh, which took away from the experience a bit. However, we want to highlight something positive: the young man in charge of preparing the omelettes, who was extremely professional, attentive, and kind with our entire group. Thanks to his excellent service, the breakfast had a special touch that we truly appreciated. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and valued the dedication of the staff. With some improvements to the buffet, the hotel could offer an even more complete experience.

Relatively speaking, affordable - but at a price…
In a city which is hideously expensive for everything and especially hotel accommodation, the Crowne Plaza looked like a reasonably good value option on paper. However, as the saying goes, you only get what you pay for. The location, a mix of soulless residential apartment blocks and some commercial property about 1-2 miles from the main station, is OK but not at all pretty or attractive, and you’ll need to allow a good 12-15 minutes to reach the city centre. Expect a 5-minute flat surface walk to the nearest tram or bus stops as the hotel is located between two such local transport halts. There’s a MIGROS supermarket close by too. The hotel is no looker either inside or out, with very dated styling and design everywhere. The standard rooms, whilst clean and reasonably comfortable, are very small indeed, and well past their best in terms of decor. They lack sound insulation, too, which means if your neighbour has the TV on, you can hear the programme they’re watching. The buffet breakfast offered a wide choice of hot and cold items, including an omelette station for custom orders. I found some of the food on offer to be of disappointing quality though, for example the croissants which had a very nasty fatty aftertaste and the acidic orange juice which was clearly from concentrate rather than freshly squeezed. I’m unlikely to return here, but if, like me, you’re looking for a more affordable option in Zurich, it might be worth considering.

A great stay in an affordable hotel in Zurich with staff that cares
We stayed there for our Mom’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. While the room was not the biggest it was tidy and comfortable. I would always stay again

A warmly wellcome!
From the moment my wife and me arrived, the front desk staff welcomed us warmly and had our room ready. In particular of the reception staff, Mr. Chronis, answered all our questions with a great smile and were always willing to assist us during our stay that made us feel genuinely cared for! Greatly appreciate that he went the extra mile to give us useful travel recommendations! The hotel is located very close to the city center of Zurich, but getting around is extremely easy. Tram stop is just a short walk from the hotel, which makes it very convenient to reach downtown. The room was clean, well maintained, well equipped, with quiet and cozy atmosphere. We also liked the free water bottle in our room, everyday! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for a comfortable and hassle-free experience!
