Amazing
We spent the night at the Darwin Hilton celebrating our engagement and the staff made it extra special. They delivered a beautiful bottle of wine and a personalised card which made the night one to remember. Rita in particular went above and beyond helping us celebrate at dinner with wonderful service and a complimentary dessert. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back as well as recommending to our friends and family.

Good location for Darwin
Our Travel agent booked us into this hotel for 2 nights before we went on the Ghan. At check in we were asked if we wanted to pay to upgrade to the executive floor which would give us access to the exec lounge. As we had been up early that day, were feeling a bit tired & it was very hot outside we said yes. Our room had a nice view. We just had time to sort out our luggage, freshen up & stroll along to the lounge for 5pm. A nice selection of canapes were brought out..arancini balls, prawn pastries, mini tortillas etc plus a plate of cheese & crackers. There was wine, cold drinks & I think you could also order cocktails. A few nibbles were enough for us & we then left and returned to our room where we slept solidly & caught up on much needed sleep. Breakfast next morning was fine & then we headed out for the day the lounge can be accessed during the day but all that is available is water, coffee or tea. All other soft (& alcoholic) drinks are locked away. On our second night we had booked a sunset cruise but a sudden change in the weather meant the cruise was cancelled at the last minute so unexpectedly we returned to the lounge & were able to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine & some more nibbles. In our case it was worth paying for the upgrade as we did not bother with dinner on either night. We missed breakfast the following morning as it was an early start to go on the Ghan. Although we didn't choose this hotel we thought it was a good option. It's just a short walk to the first pick up stop on the hop on bus. It was also not too far to walk to the sunset cruise Wharf.

Nice hotel.
Stayed here twice as part of a tour package. The tour bus dropped us off and picked us up on both occasions. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious, comfortable, and great view of the city. Breakfast Buffet was excellent, and included eggs cooked to order. Service at the bar was also very good. I rate it 4 because some common sense seemed to be lacking at the reception desk. One stay was over the weekend of Oct 5-6, which I had seen on internet news was Australian time change. Saturday evening, I inquired to confirm. The 2 reps seemed to be confused, but I thought it just slipped their minds. They checked on their phones and confirmed. So, I set my little travel clock ahead before retiring, knowing my phone clock would change automatically. Next morning, I got up, went down for breakfast, and it was closed. Nothing seemed to be going on. Very puzzled, I went back to my room, checked the clocks, etc. Desk staff had no answer. Left for the airport right after breakfast, just in case. Turns out NT does not observe seasonal time change. Yes, I should have checked further myself, but the desk staff only needed to tell me that themselves.

Great hotel
Excellent hotel hotel. Close to shopping, harbour. Large quiet room with quiet AC, comfortable beds, great shower. Good restaurant with limited menu. Ate at excellent Japanese restaurant a block away in a small mall. Walked to harbour but did not feel safe so came back to hotel. Drug store near by.

Highly Recommended
Upscale American-style high-rise hotel in downtown Darwin and two blocks from the waterfront esplanade. Modern, nice decor, huge lobby. My standard room was large with plenty of storage space, a fridge, and safe. Service in the hotel was superb, warm and helpful. Great breakfast buffet, the best I had in Australia!
