Crown Paradise Club
The resort was as expected. Lots of families, lots of activities. The food was okay in the main dining room, but there are also restaurants included in the all-inclusive pricing, and they shine! The best was the French restaurant, with incredible service, which allows the diner to take her or his time between courses. The food was excellent, and my filet was cooked to perfection. I sat by the window overlooking the gorgeous blue sea. Dress for dining in the French restaurant is slightly more formal than the other restaurants. I was able to purchase a dress, at a very reasonable price, at the boutique here. Reservations are required, so don’t forget to scan the QR code you are given when you register. The room was clean, and my towels and bed refreshed daily. There are cracks in the sink and on the floor, but nothing to worry about. The pools are great, with children’s pools, family pools, and an adult pool with a swim-up bar. There are numerous cabanas available, as you will need shade at some point. People come and put towels down, in spite of the signs saying this is forbidden, so get there early to get either a shaded lounger or cabana! The beach is gorgeous. We did have some rough surf, but there was a lifeguard present. There are cabanas there, too. Food and beverages are abundant. The only complaint I have is that, when I went to take my pool towel back. The man from AquaWorld, who either works for the resort or AquaWorld sold me what looked line a great day! A catamaran ride out to the reef, snorkeling, then lunch on the boat, and back here. Well, when I got there, I found that I had been booked on a double-decker boat—NOT a catamaran. (This excursion cost $100 US.) Anyhow, I could live with the boat issye, but when it came time to go snorkeling I was told that, over 60 years old, I was not allowed to go in the water. I explaned that I am a strong swimmer, but they refused to bend. I explained to the young men who worked on the boat that the snorkeling was the only reason I paid $100 US for the excursion, and all they said was, “Fill out the complaint form.” Then, they dropped us off for lunch (it was not provided on the boat, and my ticket-seller had said) and then picked us up again and said we had to go shopping in the downtown area for two hours. We were given the choice of driving golf carts or taking taxis—air conditioned! They promised—for another $100 US. There had been no notice when I bought my snorkeling ticket that this additional expense were part of this. So, I spent $100 to be refused a snorkeling experience, and another $100 for an unwanted taxi ride around the town for two hours. I felt so sorry for my cab driver, which deserved—and got a good tip. So, my advice—don’t buy anything from the guy at the towel place. Otherwise, it’s gorgeous here, and the people are kind. They are patient with my Spanish speaking. When you come—and you should—go to the French restaurant.

Fun times at Crown Paradise Club Cancun
Would highly recommend this resort espcially for families as there is so much for the young people to do here. However there was also fine restaurants (especially San Souci which was adults only) and a pool area for just adults if you wnated some quieter times!
