    Nelson deserves a promotion!

    I came down to the lobby at 10:45 am and the Bistro was closed. I was hoping to grab an iced coffee for the road. I was feeling really bummed. Then a gentleman came out from the kitchen and greeted me. I asked if they were closed, he said yes, but “ what can I get for you” . I told him I had wanted an iced coffee. He said no problem! I’ll take care of you! He made me an excellent iced coffee and didn’t even charge me! I had no cash—I felt terrible I couldn’t at least tip him. Nelson very proudly told me he has worked at this hotel for 21 years! His dedication shows! The hotel clerk let me know if I mentioned Nelson, he would receive kudos from corporate. Nelson made my day!

    Highly recommend!

    Great experience! Easy check-in & out. Relaxed environment. Food was excellent. Kyndra in the Cafe was friendly and very helpful with identifying gluten-free menu items for me. Michelle & Marcy provided excellent guest services in every way.

    Very disappointed in Marriott

    there was construction activities from 11pm to 2am which was so loud that we could not sleep. Management did not offer us any compensation. Very disappointed with Marriott....

    Disappointing Airport Hotel

    The hotel is close to LAX and runs a shuttle. There is a helpful screen to show how close the shuttle is to the hotel if you are stressing about your flight. The hotel restaurant only opens at 5pm although the posters in the hotel state it is open day and night and there is nothing on the website that states this. Not helpful if you are arriving beforehand. We had lunch across the road in the Hyatt Regency. The room itself is dull despite having the lights on. The bathroom has a shower and a toilet - the wash hand basin is situated in the bedroom - strange. Staff were almost helpful. The TV in our room was burnt out - the solution change room which we did. We were told that we need do nothing - all our luggage would be moved. It wasn't - we moved it ourselves - no big deal we had been lugging it for 6,000 miles. The wifi is patchy at best. I ended up using 5G on my phone. Prefer the Hyatt Regency which we've stayed in before.

    Nice Stay

    We missed our flight in LA and booked the Courtyard at roughly 1:00 am. The front desk employee was very helpful and helped to make the best of a horrible situation. The next morning Macella at the front desk was also great. She made it a point to say hello every time I passed by and made a great recommendation for lunch. Would definitely recommend this hotel when traveling through LAX.
