Bad WIFI in the middle of the floor!
Hotel public areas are clean and tidy, but rooms leave a bit to be desired. I'm staying 2 nights on the third floor, and my room is in the middle of the hallway. The room was tidy, but... housecleaning overlooked a used bar of soap in the shower. WIFI is VERY spotty, and I'm in the middle of the hallway! I would expect bad WIFI at the ends of the building, but in the middle?? Pillows are cheap, too.

Desperately Seeking an Upgrade
This place hit its prime in 1998. Not much has been done since then. Squeaky bed frame, old mattress, rusted light fixtures, locked front entrance, and paid parking. A vestige of yesterday and not worth your time or $ if you are a business traveler.

Solo in Irvine
I just came back from California after staying nearly two weeks at this great hotel.I was there to visit family living nearby. From the day I arrived I just felt an instant liking for everything about this hotel . Location was great 👍 the staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was ever too much to ask for. I had the best two weeks and even when I would come back each night the welcome I would get from the staff was so warm and friendly. I actually was sad leaving because I felt so at ease there .I have to make a special mention for Mo.Mo....his actual name was . Mohammed. He was just so nice and funny and instantly we were like friends .Loved his sense of humour I had many laughs with him.Overall it was one of my most memorable experiences . They made it that way because of the customer service for sure . Mary Carroll

Good Value, Convenient Location
Stayed here during my time visiting family in Irvine. Super convenient and close location to John Wayne Airport, but not too close so that you can avoid hearing the planes. Whole Foods is about a 6-7 minute drive from here. And you're close to a lot of the more popular places in Irvine. Great staff. Clean rooms. The decor could have been a little brighter, but overall, still a terrific stay. Two thumbs up.

Go Somewhere Else
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This is honestly the worst Courtyard by Marriott I have ever stayed at. Go a few miles down the road, pay a few $ more, and stay at the Courtyard by Mariott Irvine Spectrum. Upon check in, you'll find stained carpets in hallways & stairs, an apparently refreshed renovated design that looks like it's from the 90s, a moldy/musty smell in the rooms, inconvenient location relative to food/drinks, and worst of all loose outlets throughout the rooms that do not hold plugs (had to request an outlet strip to charge devices). The front desk staff seemed inconvenienced with requests and claimed there wasn't enough housekeeping staff to accommodate a room clean. We brought in our leadership team from the US and a few international countries--I was embarrassed we put them up in this hotel. The only saving grace was the kind young gentlemen working the Starbucks in the morning. He was truly customer service oriented.
