This is a well located, clean, smart hotel in Edinburgh. There is a very good bar/ restaurant, 1802. The included breakfast buffet was really good - lots of hot food, fruit, cereal and sweet treats. There was also a mini store offering basic items for purchase. Our room was well sized, the bed comfortable and shower very good. There were also tea/ coffee facilities a good sized TV in the room. There is a small gym in the hotel.

Nice modern rooms and lounge but Food offering is very poor not 4-star standard. basically burgers and soggy undercooked pizza all they have ! Shower pressure was shockingly weak, barely more than a drip. Comfortable room, but overall underwhelming and not worth the rating, the location was already far from restaurants bars so buy your own food before staying in there .. I won’t stay again for sure ..

In the heart of the city
The location is great. Close to Waverly train station and bus and tram lines making it easy to get around. We had breakfast each morning at the hotel and enjoyed our hostess Prenija, she was a kind face each morning and a master at managing the queue on Christmas morning. Overall great place to be in the city while quiet at night for sleeping.

First thing is that there are 2 x Courtyard by Marriott hotels in Edinburgh. When looking at reviews make sure you are aware of this, thought I was in city centre but found out that I was in the other one 45 mins out of city. Hotel was quiet with really good rooms! Food & beverage staff were very pleasant. Had 2 issues: WiFi is poor to non existent in hotel No kettle in bedroom! When relaying this to the receptionist got the “ I couldn’t be bothered unhelpful “ look from her - hence the lower satisfaction score, sorry!

I LOVE NITIN
Nitin is an amazing server, I would die for him. Plus the food was so delicious and the atmosphere was incredible, but Nitin really made my night when he gave me his grinch Santa hat out of kindness. I would return for him alone (but also everything else was amazing)!
