Amazing grounds and staff other than that not much else breakfast is a continental consisting of 2 pastries toast and cake not like it was when first went 9 yrs ago on arrive we were given a room at back of hotel room 211 right beside the car park and staff entry no sleep very noisy got room changed next day beside pool wasn't impressed by the remarks coming from guests regarding young girls passing by in bikinis to the point my daughter said it was epstien island on a budget which made me giggle hotel is over priced on food we ate out at far better places along the beach will not return here again

A Gem of a Place to Stay
Our first time staying at CLP and non AI, but not our first time in Negril. We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location on the beach, nice resort layout easy to navigate, rooms were very clean and spacious, food was good and staff were superb. I cannot say enough positive about the staff. From our housekeeper Lacy Ann, the front desk staff and manager, the ladies at breakfast, the gift shop clerk, the group at the beach bar/grill...especially Shawnette, and the multi-tasking security/beach cleaner/towel service Johnson, they made the place extra special. The only negative I would say is that the beds and blankets were not overly comfortable for us, but that's really the only complaint. It won't stop us from returning to this little gem though.

great location on seven mile
Excellent location- spacious property and beautiful grounds. In the middle of seven mile… convenient location to several local bars, restaurants, etc. Rooms could use some love. Housekeeping was great- rooms cleaned well everyday. Staff is thorough, polite and courteous. Bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress is old. Sheets and blankets are not soft. I’ve stayed in various boutique hotels / rented air bnbs in Negril, and this is probably the least comfortable room I’ve experienced. Walls are thin, I could hear neighbors’ conversations loudly and clearly from inside our rooms. Also, room was advertised as having a private patio, and outdoor space was far from private. Lots of cigarette smokers- more areas on resort for cigarette butts and trash to be thrown away might be helpful. Food and drink- mediocre. Service is excellent, particularly breakfast staff and Shawnette at beach bar/grille, as well as lifeguards and security.

Home away from home
They keep the resort very clean. And for us we just like to come and chill so we appreciate the atmosphere. They have paddle boards you can use for free. And always a good supply of beach towels. We stayed in room 919 which was an upgraded suite with a view of the beach in a large patio. It was on the third floor which we don't mind as I get my steps in. This is our fourth or fifth time at this resort and this time we've had a few problems with breakfast. Either the wrong order or taking up to an hour for the continental breakfast and a side order of scrambled eggs. Not that I'm in a hurry but when I see people come in and sit after us in order from the menu and get served before us it gets a bit frustrating. The lifeguard staff is really friendly and helpful and they take care of you with your chairs, your towels and anything else you need.

So, so
The best (and really only good) thing about the property was its location right on the beach. We had to book 2 rooms for a party of 5. Despite booking literally 9 months in advance, they were unable to give us two rooms next to each other, which was verybinconvenient, especially since we were traveling with young children. In one of the rooms 3 people had to sleep on a king bed, since there was no sofa bed or separate sleeper. The rooms had a musty smell and poor lighting. The wifi connection was spotty throughout the property. The staff was generally pleasant. They only provided 4 continental breakfasts for our party of five, since apparently they make the determination by room and not by the number of people staying in the rooms (really cheap move in my opinion). The restaurant food was subpar, and the service was very slow (although to be fair service was slow at all the restaurants we went to in the area). The pools are average. There were issues with the hot tub as well. The temp was often scalding hot or just lukewarm, and several of the jets were not working. These comments are primarily to help people in choosing an accommodation in the area, but are also directed to the management/ownership. I imagine most of the issues I mentioned above can be easily fixed. . . .
