I can’t say enough great things about Andrew Johnson. From start to finish, he was absolutely phenomenal. We booked him for a family sunset photo session that turned into a beach proposal, and he exceeded every expectation. Andrew arrived ahead of time at Sheraton Sand Key Resort to coordinate and prepare, which immediately put me at ease. His professionalism and attention to detail were unmatched—he made sure everything was perfectly in place before we even stepped onto the beach. What truly stood out was how seamlessly he captured every moment of the proposal. From the initial walk, to the surprise, to the emotions that followed—he didn’t miss a single detail. His ability to stay discreet while still getting all the key shots was incredible. Beyond the proposal itself, he made the entire experience feel natural and comfortable. He guided us just enough for great photos without making anything feel staged. The sunset shots, family moments, and candid emotions were all captured beautifully. If you’re planning a proposal, engagement, or family photos—especially on the beach—Andrew Johnson is the photographer you want. Professional, prepared, and truly talented. Highly recommend! 🌅📸💍

Rusty’s Bistro Experience
Rusty’s is, without question, the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Our waiter, Ryan, was exceptional—truly the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve been in the service industry for many years. The food was outstanding in every way. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredible. My only regret is not discovering Rusty’s sooner. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Relaxing getaway
The hotel looks modest from the outside but is quite nice with quality amenities if you’re looking for sand and sunshine. It’s great for large groups and families, but also enjoyable for couples. There’s a large pool area with an outside bar and food truck. If you’d rather do the beach, a golf court will save you the walk to the ocean which is on property but about 300 ft from the hotel/pool area. Chairs are free by the pool but you need to get there early to score one. Chairs and an umbrella runs for $45. Parking is also not included with a stay. All in all, we’d come back and bring the kids.

Won’t stay here again. We’ve stayed here few times in the past, but this will be our final stay. The resort fees and outrageous parking fee made this an entirely too expensive couple of days. The room was nice and clean. However, the pool was ridiculously crowded and it appeared that many non guests were using the facilities. It was brutal to find a chair and the towel shack was regularly out of clean towels. Not sure that the resort fee was justified. The parking was over $30 per day, when it used to be free. The hotel staff were a bit uppity and not super helpful. We will find other options when we visit again.

The customer service isn’t great, the tiki bar is awesome
We paid a premium for the resort view. Please see the photos, we asked for a high floor we got put on the second floor, we asked for an upgrade to an ocean view and they said no, and we are titanium Bonvoy members.
