5 out of 5!
We love to stay at cheeca every May. The pool side, fire pits Oceanside and dining on the ocean front is so relaxing and welcoming! Our room in the new deluxe king suite was nice and large and beautiful. The bedding and pillows were soft and plenty. The balcony over looking the ocean was ahhhmazing. Request one on the first floor so you have ocean access from your back patio.

Terrible balcony view
Cheeca lodge is beautiful and we have had a wonderful time, however I feel the need to let people know that if you book a King Island Lodge Suite with a “Resort View”, more than half of the rooms actually have a view of the hotels utility deck (see pictures of what the website promises, vs. reality). Not one of their king island suites has a view of the pool. Very deceiving and was a total damper on our trip, as coffee on the balcony is one of our favorite things to do on vacation. We check out tomorrow, and the view took away from the awesome balcony and made us not even want to be out there. Would not recommend risking booking this room.

Fantastic resort
Wonderful, relaxing family resort! Staff could not be nicer. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and stylish. It was Memorial Day weekend so pool was crowded but still able to get a cabana on beach or chair by pool. Will definitely return!

Train your employees to notify(no smoking) Signs are needed
For smokers: There is not a single sign that says no smoking on the whole property. If you are not website savy like my husband and I (we are 70 years old) We had room service where the opened the door and they could see my husband smoking on the patio and did not say anything. In the room we were most employees had to pass by us and not a single one said we could not smoke on the patio. This was a gift from my daughter for my husbands birthday(which is helping me write this review) Instead of congratulating us on my husbands birthday they charged us almost $300 for something we did not even know we could not do. We did not smoke in the room ever, just in the outside patio. Besides that, housekeeping was great but I would give a 2 for the food. Room service food was expensive and not worth the $. The shrimp cocktail was great it was $21 for 8 shrimps.

A piece of paradise
A very beautiful and peaceful setting. Even though it was a holiday weekend we were always able to find a chair and there was never a wait for food. Food was also excellent, and plenty for kids to do.
